    摘要: A high voltage circuit for a display device incorporating a cathode ray tube is provided. The circuit comprises a high voltage generator, having a transformer and a periodically actuated switch. The circuit further comprises means for obtaining a sensed signal, representing the high voltage applied to the cathode ray tube, and a comparator for comparing a reference signal and the sensed signal representing the high voltage and for outputting a fault signal indicative of excessive high voltage. A memory stores representations of a set of reference values, each reference value being associated with a selectable operating mode of the display device. Another means supplies the reference signal corresponding to the reference value associated with a selected operating mode. Upon occurrence of the fault signal the high voltage generator is disabled.

    摘要: A method and device are described for detecting whether a flash (F) has occurred in the high voltage part of a combined high voltage and horizontal deflection circuit (100) in an apparatus comprising a cathode ray tube (CRT), such as for instance a television set, a monitor, etc. The possible flash is detected by checking the fly-back pulse (70) of the horizontal deflection circuit (16) for deviations that reflect the occurrence of a flash. One possible distortion indicative for the occurrence of a flash is bouncing of the fly-back pulse. Another possible distortion indicative for the occurrence of a flash is collapse of the fly-back pulse. Another possible deviation indicative for the occurrence of a flash is a substantial decrease of the storage time (τS)) of the line deflection transistor (30).

    摘要: An ultor voltage switching power supply for a cathode ray tube is energized by a low voltage switching power supply. A switching transistor of the ultor voltage switching power supply is disabled when a screen of the cathode ray tube is blanked. An anode capacitance of the cathode ray tube that develops the ultor voltage discharges via a bleeder resistor, when the switching transistor is disabled. As a result, a transient decrease occurs in the ultor voltage. The decreased ultor voltage tends to maintain the screen blanked.

In the configuration, the two diodes (D1, D2) are inserted in series between the negative voltage source and the first grid (G1), and a first condenser (C1) is inserted between a junction of the two diodes (D1, D2) and the positive voltage source. A resistor (R3) is connected in parallel with the diode (D2) connected to the first grid (G1), and a blanking signal is applied to the first grid (G1) through a second condenser (C2).
