The absorbent article (10) is made of, at least, a backsheet (14), an absorbent core (16), and a composite topsheet (20). The backsheet (14) is opposite the body facing side (12). The absorbent core (16) is between the backsheet (14) and the body facing side (12). The composite topsheet (20) is between the absorbent core (16) and the body facing side (12). The composite topsheet (20) includes a resilient three dimensional apertured formed film (22), a nonwoven web, small scale apertures (28), and large scale apertures (32). The formed film (22) is between the absorbent core (16) and the body facing side (12). The formed film (22) has a male side (24) and a female side (26) opposite the male side (24), and small scale apertures (28) with a mesh count. The nonwoven web (30) of fibers is between the formed film (22) and the body facing side (12) of the absorbent article (10). The large scale apertures (32) extend through the nonwoven web (30) and the formed film (22). The large scale apertures (32) have a mesh count which is less than the mesh count of the small scale apertures (28).

a first layer and;
a second layer comprising a blend of polyethylene with metallocene catalysed polyethylene or metallocene catalysed polypropylene;
an elastic core layer bonded between said first layer and second layer;
first zones in said film that have been activated and have sufficient elasticity to stretch at least 200% while maintaining a permanent set percent of no more than about 5%;
second zones in said film that have not been activated and can stretch at least 200% while maintaining a permanent set percent of up to 5%;
wherein said first zones in said film have a tear-strength as measured by an Elmendorf Tear Test of at least 30g; and

摘要: A three-dimensional highly elastic film/non-woven composite (10) having a fluid and air impervious core layer (16) and a first and second consolidated layer (12, 14). The consolidated layers (12, 14) have unidirectional and non-unidirectional fibers. The composite (10) is formed by laminating the air and fluid impermeable elastic core layer (16) between the two layers of consolidated non-wovens (12, 14). The resulting composite (10) stretches only in the cross-machine direction due to the unidirectional properties of the consolidated non-woven material. The layers are then point bonded or welded together. Preferably the layers are welded by passing the composite between an ultrasonic horn and an ultrasonic bond roll having raised areas for effecting the weld points. A thin inelastic membrane is formed at each of the weld points. The welded composite (10) may then be pre-stretched to rupture the membranes, thereby creating apertures, which makes the composite permeable.

摘要: A dried soft and resilient formed film (46) is made by extruding a polymer (12) from a die (10) onto a rotating screen (14) supported by a block (24). A vacuum created at a vacuum block (16) by suctioning air at one or both ends of a vacuum tube (18) forms a microapertured film. A water stream (22) from a water jet nozzle (20) impinges on the film to form microprotuberances on the film. Water is removed from the film and collected in a drip pan (32) with a removal roller (30) and by blowing air through a tube (28) and exiting at a blower block (26). The soft and resilient film (42) is removed from the screen (14) by a roller (40) and dried in a drying apparatus (44).

摘要: The present invention relates to absorbent articles and non-absorbent articles which comprise at least one improved double-sided soft and elastic material composite 10. The composites 10 according to the invention may also be breathable. The composites are produced by incrementally stretching a laminate of an elastic layer 14 between two non-elastic cloth-like layers 12,16. The non-elastic cloth-like layers tear during stretching such that the elasticity of the laminate 10 after stretching is substantially the same as the elasticity of the film elastic layer 14.
