The formed film (22) has a male side (24) and a female side (26) opposite the male side (24), and small scale apertures (28) with a mesh count. The nonwoven web (30) of fibers is between the formed film (22) and the body facing side (12) of the absorbent article (10). The large scale apertures (32) extend through the nonwoven web (30) and the formed film (22). The large scale apertures (32) have a mesh count which is less than the mesh count of the small scale apertures (28).
