摘要: A method for joining thermoplastic composite includes: providing a first part (22) having a first joining surface (26, 28) disposed in a first plane and a second joining surface (24) disposed in a second plane that is non-parallel to the first plane; providing a second part (40, 42, 44, 46, 48) having a third joining surface disposed in the first plane and a fourth joining surface disposed in the second plane; disposing the parts so that the first and third joining surfaces are in contact with one another, and the second and fourth joining surfaces are in contact with one another; forcing the second and fourth joining surfaces against one another; and welding the first and third joining surfaces together using a vibration welding process, wherein the welding process and the forcing of the second and fourth joining surfaces against one another causes the second and fourth joining surfaces to be welded.

摘要: The invention pertains to a composite part with a fibrous reinforcement and a thermoplastic polymer matrix, comprising:
- a substrate part with a matrix of a first thermoplastic polymer having a first melting temperature;
- a stiffener made of a composite material with a matrix of a second thermoplastic polymer having a second melting temperature;
comprising the steps of:
obtaining an unconsolidated preform of the substrate part;
obtaining a preform of the stiffener;
integrating a layer of the first thermoplastic polymer into the preform of the stiffener at a location configured to be in contact with the substrate part; and
subjecting the substrate part and the preform of stiffener to a thermomechanical cycle so as to consolidate the substrate part and weld the stiffener to the substrate part.-

摘要: The present invention provides a method for firmly and inexpensively bonding at low temperature a polymer film to another polymer film or to a glass substrate without the use of an organic adhesive. A method for bonding a polymer film includes a step (S1) for forming a first inorganic material layer on part or all of a first polymer film; a step (S3) for forming a second inorganic material layer on part or all of a second polymer film; a step (S2) for surface-activating the surface of the first inorganic material layer by bombarding with particles having a predetermined kinetic energy; a step (S4) for surface-activating the surface of the second inorganic material layer by bombarding with particles having a predetermined kinetic energy; and a step (S5) for abutting the surface-activated surface of the first inorganic material layer against the surface-activated surface of the second inorganic material layer and bonding the first polymer film and second polymer film together.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for the integral bonding of two workpieces (11, 19) made from different types of thermoplastic polymers with the help of a preferably thermoplastic polymer primer (13) as bonding layer, comprising the following steps: providing a first workpiece (11) made from a thermoplastic polymer having a first edge layer (12); providing a second workpiece (19) made from a thermoplastic polymer having a second edge layer (20), said thermoplastic polymer being of a different type to the thermoplastic polymer of the first workpiece (11); preheating the first edge layer (12); applying the primer (13) on the preheated first edge layer (12), wherein, during the application of the primer (13), the preheated first edge layer (12) has a temperature in the range between the extrapolated onset of the glass transition temperature for amorphous plastics or the peak starting temperature of the melting region for partially crystalline plastics and the step starting temperature of the disintegration of the thermoplastic polymer of the first edge layer (12); bringing the first edge layer (12) provided with the primer (13) into contact with the second edge layer (19); and integral bonding of the first edge layer (12) with the second edge layer (19).

摘要: A frictional weld joint couples first and second body portions of an article together. The frictional weld joint comprises a first bead extending from the first body portion of the article and a second bead extending from the second body portion of the article. The second bead has an interior stem and an exterior stem space from the interior stem defining a cavity therebetween. The first and second beads are placed in contact with each other with the centerline of the second bead offset from the centerline of the first bead. A force is applied to either the first or second body portions to generate friction between the first and second beads to plastically displace the first and second beads. The force is removed for fusing the first and second beads together to couple together the first and the second body portions of the article.
