Hierdurch erhält man einen besseren Oberflächenausgleich, bessere Kantenabdeckung und verbessertes Ausgasungsverhalten bei Erhalt eines guten Haftgrundes für die Deckbeschichtung.

It is a steel sheet having a surface plated with zinc or zinc alloy, and carrying a chromate film formed on its plated surface, and a black film formed on the chromate film from a composition comprising specific proportions of a water-soluble or water-dispersible thermosetting resin and a water-soluble black dye, and having a sufficiently small thickness. The composition may further contain a solid lubricant, or a granular rust-inhibitive pigment, or both.

Procédé dans lequel on revêt une tôle électrozinguée (B) d'un film mince à base de polymère sur ses deux faces, on découpe et on met en forme ladite tôle d'acier électrozingué ainsi revêtue (B') pour servir d'armature au joint à fabriquer, on revêt les deux faces de ladite armature d'une couche d'élastomère, notamment par enduction d'un élastomère liquide non totalement polymérisé et on effectue un traitement thermique de cuisson dudit élastomère. Tôle d'acier électrozinguée revêtue sur ses deux faces d'un film uniforme à base de polymère contenant plus de 1% en poids de composés phosphates (exprimé en PO4) et utilisation de cette tôle pour la fabrication d'un joint composite métal-élastomère. Amélioration de la résistance à la corrosion du joint, en particulier au niveau de l'armature, et amélioration de l'environnement au cours de la fabrication du joint.

New composite-coated flat-rolled steel products and new methods of manufacture in which low-carbon steel (16), as received in cold-reduced continuous strip form is prepared for plating; a corrosion prevention plating (24) is applied, and a polymeric coating with lubricant (26) is applied as a finish surface. The resulting composite-coated steel substrate is cold-rolled (36) to decrease the gage of the coated substrate. Optionally, cold-rolling steps (14) and/or stress relief heat treatment steps (10, 20) may be employed prior to surface treatment. This process provides for tin mill manufacture of composite-coated steel of various weights per unit area, for example, in the range of 35 to about 100 lb/bb, useful in the manufacture of can bodies.
