摘要： A method for casting a preform part for reaction bonding, the method comprising coating an inner surface of a mold and a mandrel surface with release layers. An assembled mold is formed from the mold and the mandrel and a preform cake is formed by pouring a slurry into a mold cavity and letting it settle. Thermally removing the release layers aids in removing the mandrel and removing the preform cake after pyrolyzing.
