    摘要: An optical system 10 includes a front group 11, a light-shielding member 4, and a rear group 12 that are arranged in this order in a direction from a side of an object toward a side of an image. The light-shielding member 4 has an opening elongated in a first direction. The front group 11 has aspherical surfaces 2 and 3, does not image the object at the opening in a first section parallel to the first direction, and forms an intermediate image of the object at the opening in a second section perpendicular to the first direction. The rear group 12 has a diffractive surface 5 that splits a light beam that passes through the opening into light beams at different wavelengths in the second section and focuses the light beams on different locations in the second section. Tilt angles of the aspherical surfaces 2 and 3 in the second section change in the first direction.

    摘要: An image combiner, also referred to as a combiner optic, of a near-eye display system or the like transmits enough light so a user can see remote objects in a "world view", while also reflecting enough light so the user can simultaneously see a projected image in a "projected" (augmented) view. The disclosed image combiners use two partial reflectors configured to form a wedged reflective cavity. In the display system, light from an imaging device follows a path to the user's eye that includes three reflections in the wedged cavity. By using this capability of the wedged cavity, the combiner optic can have a substantially reduced thickness, and lower profile, than a combiner optic that uses only one partial reflector and only one reflection in the optical path.
