    摘要: An angular contact bearing is mounted within a housing (26) and a shaft (24) is positioned within the bearing such that an annular space is provided between the bearing and the shaft. A mounting ring (32) of elastomeric polymer is positioned over the shaft and against a bearing inner ring (34) such that a portion of the mounting ring is between the bearing inner ring and the shaft, centring the shaft within the bearing and reducing radial freeplay. The mounting ring is compressed axially, against the bearing, such that the mounting ring deforms and resiliently spreads radially outwardly and provides a preload on the bearing balls.

    摘要: A clamp yoke (10) formed from a flat piece of metal. The flat piece (5) being approximately T-shaped which is bent into the clamp yoke. The top portion of the T forming the yoke ears (24) and the vertical portion forming two approximately parallel shaft portions (12, 14). The yoke ears each having a bearing bore (26) therein and the shaft portions each having a shaft receiving bore (20) therein. The clamp yoke can be provided with a bolt (30) having a reduced diameter middle which allows a shaft to be inserted into the shaft receiving bores without removing the bolt. The bolt is then tightened, drawing the larger diameter portion into the center of the clamp yoke where the bolt engages a transversely relieved portion on the shaft to axially retain the shaft.

    摘要: There is provided a roller bearing (10) having inner and outer annular roller races (11,12), each race having a bearing raceway (13) that is spaced from and opposes the bearing raceway of the other race, and a rigid frame (20) for retaining a complement of rollers arranged between the roller races (11,12). The rigid frame (20) includes annular end plates (16,17) having a series of concave seats (21) and a plurality of spacers (18) mounted at right angles to each of the end plates (16,17). A complement of axially extending rollers (15) is arranged in the frame and the frame is positioned between the races (11,12) and in rolling contact with the bearing raceways (13,14). Friction reducing means, such as spherical balls (23), are provided between the ends of the rollers and each end plate (16,17) for reducing friction between the roller (15) ends and the end plates (16,17) while piloting the rollers (15) in such a way as to maintain alignment.
