Abstract:
The present invention includes a step in which a green compact formed by compacting a magnet powder for constituting an R-Fe-B based sintered magnet having Nd as the principal component and containing a rare earth element R is molded by press-molding the magnet powder; a sintering step in which the green compact is sintered under the condition of being heated to the sintering temperature, molding a sintered magnet; a dimension correction step in which the sintered magnet is pressure molded under the condition of being heated to a temperature not exceeding the sintering temperature, thereby correcting the dimensions of the sintered magnet; and an aging heat treatment step utilizing the heated atmosphere produced in the dimension correction step, and in which the texture of the sintered magnet is adjusted.
Abstract:
The invention relates to alloys with inverse microstructures, to the production of such materials and to their uses in thermal storage applications. In a preferred form the invention relates to a thermal storage material comprising a dense continuous thermally conductive matrix of a first component; and particles of a second component dispersed throughout the matrix of the first component, wherein the first and second components are wholly or partly immiscible and wherein the first component melts at a higher temperature than the second component.
Abstract:
The invention relates to compositions of inorganic phosphors suitable for protecting valuable material objects against counterfeit. A composition for marking metal products produced by powder metallurgy technique includes a phosphor and a binding/lubricating agent as which fatty acid derivatives or synthetic wax powders and/or paraffin powders are used. A method for marking metal products consists in mixing a metal alloy powder with a marking composition, followed by compacting the resultant mixture and sintering. The invention provides for the achievement of an even distribution of a marking component in the metal powder, and also effective marking of the products in the process of manufacture thereof by powder metallurgy technique, and a simplification and safety of the marking technique.
Abstract:
A method of producing a compacted article according to one embodiment may involve the steps of: Providing a copper/molybdenum disulfide composite powder including a substantially homogeneous dispersion of copper and molybdenum disulfide sub-particles that are fused together to form individual particles of the copper/molybdenum disulfide composite powder; and compressing the copper/molybdenum disulfide composite powder under sufficient pressure to cause the copper/molybdenum disulfide composite powder to behave as a nearly solid mass.
