Das Gemisch hat einen pH-Wert von 11,8 oder darüber. Die Bestandteile werden vorzugsweise vor Ort gemischt und zwar in einer solchen Konsistenz, dass die Mischung selbstnivellierend ist. Das Einbringen auf die Verlegestelle kann beispielsweise mit einer Fließestrichpumpe erfolgen. Das Material expandiert auf die gewünschte Gesamtdicke und ergibt eine homogene Dämmschicht gleicher Dicke und Qualität, die hochfest ist und nach ca. 24 Stunden seine hohe Endfestigkeit erreicht. Das Material kann auch in pastöser Konsistenz auf eine Wand aufgebracht werden.

The invention provides in one embodiment a gypsum-containing slurry including stucco and an aqueous pre-dispersion of a pregelatinized starch. Also provided is a method of making gypsum wallboard by providing a pre-dispersion of the pregelatinized starch in water, and adding the pregelatinized starch pre-dispersion to the gypsum-containing slurry. The pregelatinized starch can have a particle size distribution within the following range: d (0.1) = about 20 μ - 35 μ, d (0.5) = about 60 μ - 110 μ, d (0.9) = about 100 μ - 220 μ.

A first repeating unit is a vinyl ether-type repeating unit. A second repeating unit includes a maleic acid-type repeating unit. A third repeating unit includes an acrylic acid- type repeating unit. The polymer dispersant has a molecular weight of from about 20,000 to about 80,000 Daltons. The slurry made from this composition can be made at reduced water levels to speed drying and reduce drying costs.

A wet fiber based composition that includes wet glass fibers, a water dispersible polymeric resin, and gypsum is provided. Components including melamine formaldehyde, a filler material, coupling agents, acetic acid, an accelerator, and/or a hardener may also be added to the composition. The gypsum may be a-gypsum, ß-gypsum, or combinations thereof. The wet glass fibers are wet chopped glass fibers or a wet continuous roving. The combination of the wet glass fibers, the water dispersible polymeric resin, and the gypsum have a synergistic effect that creates a composite product that is water resistant, fire resistant, and has improved mechanical properties. In one exemplary embodiment, the wet fiber based composition is used to form a gypsum board that can be molded into various composite products. In other exemplary embodiments, thin multi-ply gypsum boards may be formed by alternately layering glass mats with layers of a gypsum/polymer slurry.

A continuous process for manufacturing a sound absorbing tile made from a slurry including, quick setting cement, water, fibers and foaming agent, the process including the steps of (I) mixing cementitious material, water, foaming agent but without incorporation of prefabricated foam with fibers into a slurry; subsequently; (II) injecting and distributing air into the slurry of step (I) to form a cellular slurry; subsequently; (III) forming tiles or precursor products of tiles from the cellular slurry; and finally; (IV) allowing the cellular slurry to set into the desired tile or a precursor thereof. The preparation of the aerated slurry is carried out in two separate chambers, whereas chamber 1 is a mixer operated at high shear rate for homogenization and chamber 2 is a blender operated at low shear rate forstabilization and distribution of porosity. Inbetween the two devices, air is inyected to the slurry.

The invention relates to a system for producing a foamed material containing plaster, in particular in the form of a water-based dispersion. Said system comprises (i) hardenable plaster, (ii) at least one organic polymer which can foam together with the hardenable plaster, (iii) at least one foaming agent, (iv) optionally, at least one hardening retarder and (v) optionally, at least one hardening accelerator. Materials containing said plaster can foam easily due to said inventive method. It is also possible to produce foamed plaster materials ('plaster foam') which hardens and drys relatively quickly. The hardening and/or drying time is generally less than 24 hours. The generally water-based plaster foam applied according to the invention and which drys relatively quickly, in particular, in less than two hours, is dimensionally stable due to the hardened plaster and has a relatively high resistance.
