摘要: The present invention relates to the field of the protection of value documents and value commercial goods against counterfeit and illegal reproduction. In particular, the present invention relates to security threads or stripes to be incorporated into or onto security documents. The security threads or stripes comprise i) an optically variable layer (1) imparting a different color impression at different viewing angles; ii) a magnetic code (2) made of a magnetic composition comprising pigment particles; and iii) a non-metallized substrate, wherein the magnetic code has a color matching the color impression of the optically variable layer at one viewing angle and wherein the optically variable layer and the magnetic code are jointly visible from one side of the security thread or stripe.

摘要: The present invention relates to the field of the protection of security documents, especially banknotes, against illegal actions such as robbery or theft. In particular, the present invention relates to the field of ink compositions for producing irreversibly magnetically induced images or patterns, said inks comprising multichromal microspheres, preferably bichromal microspheres (1) that are orientable upon application of a magnetic field and that comprise at least a first portion (2) comprising one or more dyes and/or pigments and at least a second portion (3) comprising one or more magnetic or magnetizable materials, wherein said microspheres (1) comprise as the first portion a core (2) having a surface and comprising the one or more dyes and/or pigments and as the second portion a partial coating (3) covering at least a portion of the surface of said core (2) and comprising the one or more magnetic or magnetizable materials.

摘要: Method for determining the mutual compatibility of components to be connected to each other, as well as new uses for memory-metal pieces. According to the invention, a first component is equipped with a three-dimensional metal-alloy piece, which is able to change its shape as a result of the effect of a voltage, an electric or magnetic field, heat or electromagnetic radiation, or a combination of these. A second component, to be connected to the first component, is equipped with an operating element, which is able to produce the desired energy effect, the first and second components are brought into the immediate vicinity of each other, and the operating element of the second component is used to direct an energy effect to the metal-alloy piece of the first component, in order to change the three-dimensional shape of the metal-alloy piece. The components are then determined to be compatible, if the change in shape of the metal-alloy piece exceeds a predefined limit value. By means of a security marking according to the invention, the genuineness of a product can be determined not only visually, but also with the aid of its operation or function, which the metal-alloy piece creates.
