    摘要: Methods and apparatus (1) for manufacturing a magnetic structure (5) are disclosed. In one arrangement, a method comprises driving magnetic material in a liquid state through an outlet (7) and onto a surface (9) in an additive manufacturing process in which the magnetic material solidifies on the surface (9) and progressively builds up the magnetic structure (5). A magnetic field is used to apply a selected magnetic alignment to each of plural portions of the magnetic material before the solidification of each portion of magnetic material, such that each portion of magnetic material solidifies with a respective selected magnetic alignment.
    The magnetic field is varied in direction or strength during the driving of the magnetic material through the outlet to apply corresponding different selected magnetic alignments to different portions of the magnetic material.
