摘要: Disclosed is an electrode assembly in which a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween are wound, and the first electrode includes an insulation layer that covers a boundary of the uncoated portion and the coated portion along the winding direction. The uncoated portion of the first electrode includes a plurality of segments separated from each other by cutting lines repeatedly formed along the winding direction. The plurality of segments are bent along a radial direction of the electrode assembly to form a bent surface. When a line passing through a point corresponding to the smallest height in the region of the uncoated portion of the first electrode is a datum line and a segment with the smallest height among the segments forming the bent surface is a minimum segment, a separation distance between one end in the winding axis direction of the separator and the datum line is 30% or less of the height of the minimum segment.

摘要: Provided is a separator for a non-aqueous secondary battery, the separator contains a porous substrate and an adhesive porous layer that contains a polyvinylidene fluoride type resin and a filler, in which a Gurley value of the separator is from 50 sec/100mL to 200 sec/100mL, and when differential scanning calorimetry is performed with all of the polyvinylidene fluoride type resin contained in the adhesive porous layer as a sample, two or more endothermic peaks and/or two or more exothermic peaks are observed.

摘要: An organic/inorganic composite separator includes a porous substrate having a plurality of pores; and a porous coating layer formed on at least one surface of the porous substrate with a plurality of inorganic particles and a binder polymer. The binder polymer is a copolymer including: (a) a first monomer unit having a contact angle to a water drop in the range from o° to 49°; and (b) a second monomer unit having a contact angle to a water drop in the range from 50° to 130°. This organic/inorganic composite separator has excellent thermal stability, so it may restrain an electric short circuit between a cathode and an anode. In addition, the separator may prevent inorganic particles in the porous coating layer from being extracted during an assembling process of an electrochemical device, thereby improving stability of an electrochemical device.

The separator according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure is a separator for an electrochemical device. The separator includes a porous polymer substrate and at least one porous coating layer formed on at least one surface of the porous polymer substrate. The porous coating layer includes inorganic hydroxide particles, cellulose nanofibers, and an aqueous binder polymer. The content of the cellulose nanofibers is 25% by weight or more and 70% by weight or less based on the total weight of the porous coating layer.
