摘要:
The present invention provides improved method and apparatus for the transfer and delivery of very high purity chemicals for use in semiconductor production and similar processes. By employing multiple alternating pressure vessels (26, 74a, 74b), chemicals are drawn from virtually any bulk source (10) and delivered to one or more end-users (106). The use of a vacuum system (32) to draw chemicals through sealed conduits eliminates the need for pumps which are a source of both maintenance problems and contamination in the system. Multiple vessels (26, 74a, 74b) provide for a variety of flow options, which include continuous chemical delivery to the end-users (106), recirculation and regular filtration (120, 64, 102) during periods of low use, and built-in redundancy to avoid system shut down if there is a component failure.

Methods are disclosed for refining, pumping and loading a borehole with a water-in-oil emulsion slurry blasting composition, wherein the emulsion slurry blasting composition is pumped or forced through a valve positioned at the end of a delivery hose in order to increase the viscosity of the composition prior to its expulsion from the hose.

A method of installing a liner assembly for pipeline repair or reinforcement includes: pulling a prepared liner assembly into position in the pipeline, the liner assembly including an outer tubular liner and an inner inflatable bladder positioned longitudinally within the tubular liner, the tubular liner being wetted with a curable compound; introducing fluid into the inflatable bladder so that the inflatable bladder expands to bring the tubular liner into firm contact with an interior surface of the pipeline; flowing the fluid continuously through the bladder and discharging the fluid into the pipeline, while maintaining the liner assembly in an inflated condition for a time period sufficient for the tubular liner to cure; and deflating the inflatable bladder and retrieving at least a portion of the liner assembly from the pipeline.

Methods of removing bubbles from a microfluidic device are described where the flow is not stopped. Methods are described that combine pressure and flow to remove bubbles from a microfluidic device. Bubbles can be removed even where the device is made of a polymer that is largely gas impermeable.

Certain embodiments include a sensor system for measuring chlorine concentration in water. The sensor system can have a manifold including one or more flow passages for receiving fluid flow. The sensor system can have a probe for measuring chlorine concentration in fluid communication with a flow passage of the one or more flow passages of the manifold. The probe can have a probe body oriented to direct incoming fluid from one or more flow passages of the manifold toward an end of the probe body. The probe can have a plurality of flutes defined on an outer surface of the probe body. The flutes can be shaped and oriented to direct fluid from the end proximal to the electrodes, back toward the one or more flow passages of the manifold.
