    The steering column 12 is fixed to the vehicle body side with a lower bracket 46, an upper bracket 44 and a housing 48, and a combination switch 68 is disposed at the rear end side of an inner tube 36. Lower portions 48A, 70A are disposed in a state so as to protrude below a column tube 26 and face each other, so that an airbag module 64 is installed in an installation space 74 formed between the two portions. A module case 54 is manufactured from a fabric, and the airbag module 64 is attached at a position in the vicinity of the combination switch 68 through a rear attachment bracket 76. Consequently, there is no detriment to collapsing operation of the column tube 26.

    摘要: In a vehicular seat (10) installed with a side airbag device, an inside bag (36) completes inflation and deployment earlier than a side air bag body (34), on the inner side of the side airbag body in the vehicle width direction, and presses an occupant inward in the vehicle width direction. The inside bag inflates and deploys at an upper level than the abdominal region (B) of the occupant. Further, reaction force is applied inward from a reaction force plate (38) supported by an outer side frame (24), to the inside bag. The reaction force plate extends in a vehicle front-back direction, and extends toward the front beyond a front edge portion (24F) of the outer side frame (24). Thus, reaction force can be favorably applied to the inside bag, even at a level where the inside bag is unlikely to receive reaction force from the outer side frame.

As a result, deformation of the side support portion (16A) is suppressed, and deformation of the side support portion (16A) to the upper side may be suppressed. Therefore, a waist area chamber (28B) of a rear side airbag (28) may be caused to deploy between the waist area of a seat occupant (14) and the door trim (32) as intended.
