There is disclosed a method for utilising powdery material, particularly combustible powdery waste material, e.g. paint powder or paint abrasive dust, where the powdery material in a way known per se is rolled or compressed to tablets, pills or briquettes as the rolling or compressing occurs in such a way that so high frictional heat is produced in order that the surface of the tablets, pills or briquettes "fuses". In a very simple way it hereby becomes considerably easier to dispose of and simultaneously to utilise environmental waste of the said type as the briquetted waste materail may be used a fuel which is easily fired into e.g. incinerators or combustion units of power stations, and which is now completely without dust explosion risk.

The present invention is directed to a process for the application of fluoropolymer to a preselected area of a threaded fastener, and particularly to substantially all of the threads of the fastener. The fluoropolymer is supplied to a spray nozzle (10) in powder form and is subjected to a triboelectrostatic charging process so that individual particles discharged from the spray nozzle are electrically charged. In the preferred form of the invention, the fluoropolymer powder is triboelectrically charged, entrained in an air stream discharged from the nozzle and directed onto the preselected area of the fastener. In this manner a generally uniform powder coating is deposited onto the preselected area of the fastener while the fastener is maintained at room temperature. Thereafter, the fastener is heated to a temperature above the melting point of the fluoropolymer to thereby coalesce the deposited powder into a continuous film coating which adheres, upon cooling, to the pre-selected area of the fastener. In accordance with a preferred embodiment, the fastener is heated in a manner which raises the temperature of only the preselected area of the fastener to the fluoropolymer melting point. This preferred heating technique minimizes the retention of fluoropolymer inadvertently deposited on areas of the fastener other than the preselected area, and allows this undesired fluoropolymer to be easily removed, even after heating.

Die Absaugvorrichtung weist ein Pulver-Absaugelement (4) zur Entfernung des überschüssigen Pulvers, eine Warenbahn-Ansaugeinheit zur Ausrichtung der Warenbahn und mindestens eine Klopfwalze (8,9) zur Lockerung des überschüssigen Pulvers auf. Die Warenbahn-Ansaugeinheit weist mindestens eine rotierbare Saugwalze (5,6,7) zur Förderung der Warenbahn (1) durch Auflage derselben auf. Dadurch lassen sich Warenbahnen zugfrei befördern, wodurch eine Verklebung der einzelnen Pastenpunkte und eine Verstopfung des Gewebes weitgehend verhindet wird.

In der Luft auf der zu reinigenden Oberfläche (1) werden mittels einer Hochspannungs-Ionisiervorrichtung (20) Ionen erzeugt, welche von Pulverpartikeln und der zu reinigenden Oberfläche (1), wenn sie ein anderes elektrisches Ladungspotential haben, elektrisch angezogen werden. Damit werden die Pulverpartikel elektrisch neutralisiert und die Anziehung zwischen den Pulverpartikeln und der zu reinigenden Oberfläche (1) wird eliminiert. Dadurch können mehr Pulverpartikel von einem Saugluftstrom (14) auf der zu reinigenden Oberfläche (1) erfaßt und abgesaugt werden.
