摘要： The invention relates to a novel method for bonding plastic capsules (2, 3) for inhalers, to the bonded capsules obtained thereby, and to a device for carrying out said method. The capsules obtained according to the inventive method are disposable capsules and preferably contain an individual dose of a pharmaceutical formulation which can be administered by inhalation, said formulation being in the form of powder or liquid. The shape and function of said capsules enables them to be used in powder inhalers or liquid sprays for the production of aerosols. Aerosols thus produced can be inhaled, for example, so that a pharmaceutical formulation can be administered via the pulmonary route.

摘要： Heat sealing apparatus for packaging machinery and particularly suitable for form, fill and seal packaging machinery. The heat sealing apparatus is for forming a continuous lengthways extending seal (29) on a web (18) of packaging material to be fed past it. The apparatus comprises a nozzle (50) connectable to a hot gas producer (62) which produces a flow of hot gas having a substantially constant temperature. The nozzle is mounted on a carrier (52) which is connected with a servo motor drive (56). The servo motor is controlled by a control system (48) so that in use it moves the nozzle relative to the web in accordance with variations in web feed velocity such that the flow of hot gas from the nozzle can apply a substantially constant heat to the web to form the seal (29). The apparatus allows a hot air producer which outputs hot air at a constant temperature and volume flow rate to apply a constant heat along the seal area despite variations in the web feed speed.

摘要： A hot gas heating device is disclosed which is used for heating an upper open end region of a tubular body (7) prior to it being heat-sealed. The device comprises a nozzle housing (1) including a casing (2) accommodating a heating nozzle (3) in a cavity (4). The nozzle (3) can adopt a predetermined position within the tubular body (7) so that a hot gas outlet (12) extending circumferentially around said nozzle can deliver hot gas to an upper inner wall region of said tubular body, thereby softening the material of the tubular body in that region. The nozzle housing (1) further comprises a cooling and centering ring (6) surrounding the outer side of said upper inner wall region of the tubular body. The heating device is also provided with means (18, 19, 20, 21) for exhausting the applied hot gas. In order to allow for more uniform heating of the intended weld site, the means for exhausting the applied hot gas are arranged so as to control the applied hot gas flow by creating a substantially uniform pressure drop around the upper wall region of the tubular body (7), thereby creating a uniform distribution of the hot gas on the inner wall region of the tubular body. Preferably, said means is in the form of a gas ejector.
