An intake negative pressure is supplied to the brake booster from the first and second intake systems. One of the first and second throttle valves is opened to increase the engine output when the pressure parameter is equal to or less than a first threshold value which indicates that the assisting force of the brake booster has decreased.

Die vorliegende Erfindung beschreibt ein Verfahren bzw. eine Vorrichtung zum Betrieb einer Pumpe mit einer Steuerung und einer Regelung. Dabei ist insbesondere vorgesehen, dass die Pumpe in einem Fahrzeug untergebracht ist, beispielsweise als Ölpumpe oder als hydraulische Pumpe in einer Bremsanlage. Zur Steuerung der Pumpe ist in einem ersten Schritt die Bildung von ersten Steuerparametern in Abhängigkeit von einem vorgebbaren Solldrehzahlverlauf vorgesehen. In einem zweiten Schritt erfasst die Regelung die aktuelle Drehzahl der Pumpe und vergleicht die so erfasste Drehzahl mit dem vorgegebenen Solldrehzahlverlauf. Erfindungsgemäß werden dann in einem weiteren Schritt in Abhängigkeit vom durchgeführten Vergleich zusätzliche zweite Steuerparameter erzeugt, die den ersten Steuerparametern überlagert werden. Vorzugsweise geschieht diese Überlagerung während des Betriebs der Pumpe und somit gleichzeitig mit der Ansteuerung der Pumpe durch die Steuerung.

According to the invention, it is provided that the control unit (10) is capable of opening the clutch (22) in the event a settable maximum allowed compressor speed or motor speed of the drive motor (12) is exceeded and to close the open clutch (22) temporarily when the motor speed is greater than the maximum allowed motor speed. The invention relates to a method for providing a negative pressure of a brake actuation device of an automotive braking system comprising a pneumatic brake booster (1), the interior of which is subdivided into a vacuum chamber and a working chamber. The brake booster comprises a master brake cylinder (2) and a pneumatic motor/pump unit (3) for providing the negative pressure in the vacuum chamber. Said unit comprises a vacuum pump (6) and a motor (7) driving said vacuum pump (6). A sensor (9) detects a negative pressure level in the vacuum chamber or a pressure difference between the vacuum chamber and the working chamber. The motor/pump unit (3) is switched on by an electronic control unit (12) when the pressure falls below a first defined lower negative pressure level (Pe) and is switched off when a second defined upper negative pressure level (Pa) is reached. The invention is characterized in that a speed (np) of the motor/pump unit (3) is controlled subject to driving states of the vehicle.
