The paper-like nanocomposite material can be used as capillary-porous elements of evaporative-type air-cooling units. As mineral fibers, glass fibers with a diameter of 0.4 µm are used. These fibers are hydrophilic; they do not swell and have a large specific surface area. As a binder, sodium aluminate and aluminum sulfate are used at a predetermined ratio. The material is made on traditional papermaking equipment using casting technique with a specified ratio of the above components. The technical result is the obtainment of a paper-like material having high properties in height and time of water rise, moisture capacity and strength. The material is also characterized by thermic, chemical and biological stability, absence of toxicity and zero emission of substances harmful to the human body into the air, resistance of its properties to the effects of mold, fungi and microorganisms in the aquatic environment.

A device which enables the cleansing of plastic packaging items which have been initially reduced to smaller pieces, i.e. granules, and which have contained pesticides and other chemicals, so that these packaging items may be further used and recycled. The said device comprises consecutively a washing structure with at least three mixing and conveying shafts, for the washing of the granules with a chemical cleaning fluid, brushes for the cleaning of the granules, conveyor screw for the transportation of the granules from the brushes to the water washing structure, water washing structure, conveyor screw for the transportation of the granules from the water washing structure to the centrifugal drainer, horizontal centrifugal drainer for the granules, an air-transportation heated system for the transportation of the granules from the drainer to their collection and a cyclone for the collection of the cleaned granules.

A Hybrid journal bearing, which can operate either as hydrodynamic or as electromagnetic, or as hybrid (hydrodynamic and electromagnetic simultaneously), aiming at the exploitation of advantages of both types of bearings, is presented. It is constituted from stator (3), the two lids (2), the internal ring (7), the paramagnetic parts of the internal ring (13), the inductors (4) and the lubricant pipe (1). Also, sensors (6) are added, so that it is possible to monitor the place of the rotor (5) each moment, in order to control the pressure of the lubricant and to control the current of the inductors, by the controller. This invention, can be applied in experimental level and also in industrial applications, such as in turbine vacuum machines and in energy production, in natural gas compressors, in plants of electric power production or in aeronautics applications, where the need of continuous operation of the machines for a long time in high revolutions (> 20.000RPM), or in low revolutions in waiting situation, as well as in thrust systems of boats, is necessary.

This invention describes ecologically sound, economical steel buildings with high insulation against noise, heat transfer and with fire protection, of low cost and speedy construction, and with potential for full, or in large part, energy self-sufficiency. These buildings consist of prefabricated components, which form internal and external walls, floors, ceilings and roofs, and which are constructed in the form, structure and strength specified in the architectural, structural and electromechanical design of the building to be constructed. The invention also describes a method of constructing buildings using prefabricated components, which can be placed by crane into slots which are either integrated, during manufacture in some of the prefabricated metal panels, or formed by the columns and beams in the corners of the building and its interior spaces.

Novel photoresist materials, which can be photolithographically processed in biocompatible conditions are presented in this invention. Suitable lithographic scheme for the use of these and analogous resists for biomolecule layer patterning on solid substrates are also described. The processes described enable micropatterning of more than two different proteins on solid substrates without denaturation of the proteins. The preferred resist materials are based on (meth)acrylate copolymers that contain at least one acid cleavable ester group and at least one hydrophilic group such as an alcoholic or a carboxylic group.

The system has a query means for querying a plurality of status parameters of a ventilated rack of animal cages, an evaluation means for evaluating the plurality of status parameters automatically, an alert means for alerting a digital system of the plurality of status parameters, a receiving means receiving control input from the digital system, and a wireless interface for communicating the plurality of status parameters wirelessly to an access point and for communicating the control input wirelessly from the access point to the ventilated rack of animal cages. Wherein the system enables that the environment of the ventilated racks of animal cages and corresponding equipment is remotely monitored. A method is also disclosed.
