Eine flächige Erstreckung des mindestens einen flächigen Diffusors (30) beschränkt sich auf einen Randbereich der lichtdurchlässigen Platte (20), und der mindestens eine flächige Diffusor (30) weist einen ersten Abschnitt (34) mit einer radial von aussen nach innen abnehmenden Dicke auf. Der flächige Diffusor (30) ermöglicht die Realisierung von Leuchtelementen (1), die eine gleichmässige Beleuchtung der frontseitigen lichtdurchlässigen Platte (20) und gleichzeitig einen dünnen Rand erlauben.

In a method for the acquisition of optical coherence tomography image data of retina tissue of an eye (99) of a human subject using an acquisition device comprising an imaging optics (2), a first image associated with a baseline relative positioning of the eye (99) of the human subject with respect to the imaging optics (2) is acquired at a first point in time. The baseline relative positioning is stored. At a second point in time being different from the first point in time, the baseline relative positioning of the same eye (99) of the same human subject with respect to the imaging optics (2) is re-established and a second image is acquired. For re-establishing the positioning, a present relative positioning of the eye (99) of the human subject with respect to the imaging optics is determined based on a video image of an iris region of the eye. A corresponding device comprises an imaging optics (2), a head support to be contacted by a head portion of the human subject, the head support defining an entrance position of the sample beam entering an eye of the human subject, a camera (71) for acquiring a video image of an iris region of the eye, a display (75) for displaying a target image to the human subject, the target image indicating a direction of a line of vision to be assumed by the human subject, and a processor for determining a present relative positioning of the eye of the human subject with respect to the imaging optics, based on the video image, for comparing a present relative positioning of the eye (99) of the human subject with respect to the imaging optics (2) to a stored baseline relative positioning, for affecting the target image as long as the present relative positioning does not correspond to the stored baseline relative positioning, and for triggering the acquisition of image data when the present relative positioning corresponds to the baseline relative positioning.

A single consolidated error probability value (51) is determined for each of the number of subvolumes, based on the at least two error probability values (41, 42, 43, 44). Subsequently, the image data is analyzed to obtain a physiologically relevant conclusion applying to a plurality of subvolumes, weighting in the analysis the image data of a given subvolume of the plurality of subvolumes according to the consolidated error probability (51) of the subvolume.

A machine for machining workpieces comprises a machine frame (110, 120), a honing ring carrier (60) which is mounted on the machine frame and in which a honing ring or a honing ring blank is able to be clamped and is drivable in rotation about its central axis, and a workpiece spindle module (50) having a workpiece spindle (54), wherein a workpiece to be machined with the honing ring clamped in the honing ring carrier (60) is fittable in the region of a free end of the workpiece spindle (54). The machine also comprises a grinding module (130) for profiling a honing ring by grinding a honing ring blank, wherein the grinding module (130) is arranged on the machine frame (110, 120) such that a grinding disc of the grinding module (130) can be positioned within a truly three-dimensional region relative to the honing ring carrier (60). The profiling of a honing ring and the honing of a workpiece can thus take place in the same set-up of the honing ring. As a result, problems which arise on account of imprecise centring during (re)mounting of the honing ring are avoided. A honing-ring-specific externally profiled tool, for example a diamond toothed wheel, is not required to produce the honing ring.
