    摘要: A flow control apparatus adapted to receive a feeding set includes a housing capable of receiving at least a portion of the feeding set. A pumping device is supported by the housing and positioned to contact the feeding set when the feeding set is received by the housing so the pumping device acts on the feeding set to produce fluid flow in the feeding set for delivery of fluid to a subject. An ultrasonic sensor is supported by the housing and arranged with respect to the pumping device to produce a sensor signal indicative of a viscosity of the fluid delivered through the feeding set. A control circuit is in communication with the ultrasonic sensor for receiving the sensor signal from the sensor indicative of the viscosity of the fluid and in communication with the pumping device to control operation thereof.

    摘要: Disclosed is an ECG electrode lead wire connector which provides improved electrical and mechanical coupling of the ECG electrode press stud to the lead wire, provides enhanced ergonomics to the clinician, and may alleviate patient discomfort associated with the attachment and removal of ECG leads. The connector may be engaged and disengaged with little or no force imparted to the patient or the ECG pad, which significantly minimizes the risk of inadvertent dislodgement of the pad. In one embodiment the disclosed connector provides a thumb cam lever (110) which affirmatively engages the press stud to the connector, and provides tactile feedback to the clinician that the connector is properly engaged. In other embodiments, the connector provides a pushbutton (410) to enable the clinician to easily engage and disengage the connector from the ECG stud. The disclosed connectors may also decrease clinician fatigue, and may provide more reliable ECG results.

    摘要: A system for networked communications between a series of medical devices, wireless relay modules, and a remote device wireless relay network and an internet-accessible wireless communication network. At least one relay module includes a receiver, a first transmitter coupled to the wireless relay network, a second transmitter coupled to the internet-accessible wireless communication network, and a controller. The controller determines whether the internet- accessible wireless communications network is accessible. If accessible, then medical device data is transmitted to a remote device over that network using the second transmitter. If not accessible, then the first transmitter is used to transmit medical device data to another wireless relay module over the wireless relay network.
