A pipe made of an ethylene polymer formed from ethylene and a C3-20 ( alpha -olefin, which has (A) a maximum residual stress of 0.13 MPa or lower, (B) a crystallinity of 0.630 to 0.850, (C) a crystallinity gradient with respect to pipe thickness of 0.465 or lower, and (D) a pipe thickness of 5 to 50 mm. The pipe is excellent in durability, rigidity, and impact resistance and is suitable for use as a large-diameter pipe in applications where a high internal pressure is applied.

A feed (M) is continuously supplied to the mill pots so that ground particles are discharged out of the mill pots utilising an air flow. Such a mill is known as a continuous air-swept mill and has a problem caused by the difficulty of providing air sealing between the revolving and rotating mill pots and a stationary discharge zone. In the present invention, a partition (31) is disposed on the discharge side of a grinding chamber (33) of the mill pots so as to permit only the ground feed to pass through. The feed having passed through the partition is collected by way of a non-rotating discharge chute (7) which surrounds discharge pipes (72A to 72D).

A two-shaft continuous kneading machine is disclosed wherein airtightness in a housing is assured by a simple means without using a mechanical seal. A magnetic coupling mechanism is formed between the mechanism in the housing (2) including shafts (3) of the kneading machine (1) and a carrier (5) arranged outside the housing (2). The magnetic coupling mechanism includes gear portions (3c) formed on the shafts (3), a ring gear (4) rotatably supported in the housing (2) on the outer periphery of the axial ends of both shafts (3), and a carrier (5) rotatably supported coaxially with the ring gear (4) in the outside of the housing (2). When the carrier (5) is driven, the ring gear (4) rotates because of the magnetic action between magnet portions (4b, 5b), and the shafts (3) rotates because of the meshing of the gear portions (3c, 4a). Since the inside of the housing can be sealed, airtightness can be assured.
