A plansifter sieve that has a first cloth (21) with a given mesh size and at least one second cloth (22) with a finer mesh than the preceding cloth. This provides a method for sifting products having different particle sizes, particularly cereals, in a plansifter that includes at least one channel constituted by sets of mutually stacked sieves; according to the method, the separation of part of the product with fine particle size occurs already in the first sets of sieves of the at least one channel. By way of the sieve and the method according to the present invention, for an equal flow-rate of product that can be processed by a channel with sufficient screening efficiency it is possible to reduce the overall dimensions of the plansifter and ultimately the masses to be subjected to the planar rotary motion. Conversely, for equal dimensions of the plansifter, the invention allows to process a larger flow-rate of product than allowed with known equipment in this field provided with single-cloth sieves.

The fluidizing bed (15) is gas permeable so that a gas passing through the gas inlet port (23) and through the fluidizing bed (15) can accomplish a stratification of the particles, according to density.

The present invention relates to a device for the continuous measurement of the humidity of food products, particularly suitable for the continuous measurement of the humidity of cereals. The divice comprises a measurement duct, microwave transmission means arranged at a wall of said duct, and microwave reception means arranged at an opposite wall of said duct; said duct being suspended by means of weighing means with elastic suspensions interposed. The device allows to perform the continuous analysis of the humidity of food products with high precision and reliability, with no danger of contamination.

A control apparatus, particularly for roller mills in plants for milling food products, including a probe device which is inserted in a container of a product to be fed to a pair of milling rollers by feed rollers. The device includes a reference probe (2), which is always immersed in the product and measures a reference capacitance value, and a level probe (20), which measures a variation of the capacitance of the product related to the variation of the level of the product. The reference capacitance value and the capacitance variation are used by a control means to actuate the rollers. The probe device is pre-calibrated in factory so as to be able to adapt automatically to the variations of the characteristics of the product to be fed to the rollers.

A method for producing ethanol starting from corn flours, which provides for the milling of the corn, the separation of the light fractions (bran), a first refining of the milled fractions, a first sifting with germ separation, a second refining of the milled fractions, and a second sifting with germ separation. In particular, according to the invention, impact milling of the wet corn is provided so as to preserve the largest possible average particle size of the milled fractions, and subsequent crushing of the germ is also provided, so as to facilitate size separation thereof. With respect to known systems for producing ethanol starting from corn flours, the method according to the invention allows to extract from corn at least 7%, preferably at least 10% (by weight with respect to the initial product) of pure germ (i.e., germ not contaminated by other components) and at least 1% pure bran, preferably at least 2.5%, before transfer to the ethanol extraction plant, with the previously cited consequent advantages and overcoming the drawbacks that arise from using the systems that constitute the background art. In particular, the extraction from corn of at least 7% of the germ, preferably at least 10%, and of at least 1% bran, preferably at least 2.5%, allows to achieve drastic reductions in the production of pasty residues in the subsequent ethanol extraction process.

The plurality of compartments (8-19) has a binary configuration, forming pairs of compartments that are symmetrical and aligned with respect to the rotating mass assembly (20) that is arranged centrally. The plansifter allows a reduced footprint for an equal performance, allows to provide a modular construction that can be extended according to future requirements, to simplify mechanical construction and maintenance, and to distribute the flexible suspension assemblies according to requirements.

The methods provides for the translatory motion of the conical rotor (10) so as to move it away from the stator (11), the rotation of the rotor (10), and the translatory motion of the rotor (10) in order to move it toward the stator (11). The invention allows to achieve improved reliability and tightness to high pressures by using a simple and low-cost means.
