    摘要: This invention relates to a system for measuring electrical characteristics of a multiphase fluid flow in a pipe, the system comprising an essentially coaxial insert in said flow defining an annular space between a chosen part of said insert and the pipe wall. The system including resonance measuring means including at least one first antenna, the resonance measuring means being adapted to transmit an electromagnetic signal into said volume within a frequency range comprising at least one predetermined resonance in said volume, the resonance measuring means also being adapted to measure the resonance properties in said volume, said resonance having an amplitude minimum in at least one known position in said volume and said first antenna positioned outside said known position of amplitude minimum. The system also comprising transmission measuring means including a second antenna positioned at, or close to, said known position of amplitude minimum, and being adapted to measure a transmission property between said second antenna and at least one of said first antennas in said resonance measuring means. Based on these measurements the system is adapted to calculate said electrical characteristics.

Probes installed for monitoring of erosion and/or corrosion (metal loss) in process equipment use results from resistivity measurements in a measurement element and a reference element to produce a measurement of metal loss in the measurement element exposed to process flow and may trigger an alarm when measured metal loss exceeds a threshold level. Prior art methods produce numerous false alarms hiding true alarms. The present method ignores these false alarms by calculating confidence measures that are included in the metal loss calculations to attenuate noise that otherwise would produce false alarms or misinterpretation of the corrosion or erosion state in the process equipment being monitored

    摘要: There is described a flow pipe (10) of metal for use in a flow meter for fluids, particularly multiphase fluids. The flow pipe has a main run (7) and one or more laterally extending channels (t) of small diameter relative to the main run. The internal surface of the main run that defines the flow area, is cladded with a corrosion and wear resistant metallic material (6) different from the metallic material of the remainder of the flow pipe. The material that encloses and defines the laterally extending channels (t) is of the same metallic material as the internal surface of the flow pipe. Consequently a continuous and integrated internal cladding is formed in the main run so that a fluid in the flow pipe (10) is in contact with the corrosion and wear resistant material only.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a system for detecting deposits or chemical inhibitor close to or on the surface of electrodes or pins facing a fluid flow where any combination of the components oil, water, gas and a chemical inhibitor fluid could be present, and where the electrodes or pins are coupled to measuring means for monitoring the electrical characteristics of the flow, the electrical characteristics including the complex impedance or complex permittivity. The system comprises detecting means transmitting a signal indicating presence of deposit or chemical inhibitor if the real part of the complex impedance, in case of hydrocarbon continuous flow, or the imaginary part of the complex impedance, in case of water continuous flow deviates from predetermined limits related to the electrical characteristics of the said flow.
