A medical atomizer includes a liquid storage container (100), a nozzle (200) and an adjustable valve (300). The liquid storage container (100) includes an air inlet (121), a fixed cover plate installed at the periphery of the air inlet, and a high pressure jet (111) installed at the bottom of the liquid storage container (100). The nozzle (200) is installed in the liquid storage container (100) and covered onto the high pressure jet (111). The adjustable valve (300) is interconnected to the air inlet (121) and has a port (310) selectively adjusted and moved to be covered by fixed cover plate (123). With the fixed cover plate (123) of the air inlet (121), the air inlet (121) can be selectively adjusted and moved to change the size of the port (310) to be covered by the fixed cover plate (120), so as to adjust the flow of air entering into the air inlet (121).

A non-contact type temperature sensing device (10) includes an emitting unit (110), a detecting unit (120) and a single chip microprocessor (11). The emitting unit (110) emits a signal to a temperature-measured body. The detecting unit (120) receiving a reflected signal emitted by the emitting unit (110) and reflected by the temperature-measured body. The single chip microprocessor (11) is electrically connected to the emitting unit (110) and the detecting unit (120). The single chip microprocessor (11) determines a measuring distance between non-contact type temperature sensing device (11) and the temperature-measured body according to the reflected signal. When the measuring distance is located within a preset measuring range, the single chip microprocessor (11) outputs an enabling signal of measuring temperature.

An air pressure-adjusting device is provided for adjusting the air pressure in a container. A force is generated by the deflection of a deformation element in the device, which interacts with the force exerted on the deformation element by air in the container. As a result, the rate of lowering air pressure in the bladder of a blood pressure monitor may be controlled accurately.

A pressure-regulating device is provided for regulating the internal pressure of a gas container. The container has a vent hole through which the gas may vent. The pressure-regulating device includes an electrical control unit for outputting a voltage, and a deformable member is coupled to the electrical control unit. The voltage makes the deformable member to generate a corresponding deformation for causing the vent hole to open or close so as to regulate the interior pressure of the container.

An apparatus (1) and method for detecting pulse-related parameters, such as pulse arrhythmia is presented. The apparatus (1) detects a series of pulses from a user, e.g. through a cuff-related measurement. Time differences, amplitude and pattern differences between multitudes ofN pulses are determined. The apparatus investigates the degree of similarity of multiple pulse periods and / or pulse amplitudes and / or pulse pattern and subsequently generates a statistical set of similarity values based on a plurality of compared results. Basing on this, the apparatus generates a decision value based on the statistical sets of similarity values, and uses the decision value to determine whether or not the user discloses a normal pulse rhythm, atrial fibrillation, premature atrial or ventricular contractions, tachycardia, bradycardia and/or unspecified pulse arrhythmia. Further an artefact index is generated, informing the user whether a measurement was taken under sufficient artefact-free measurement conditions.

A method for judging irregular heartbeat performs a measurement step to measure a plurality of heartbeat pulses within a time period for a user, and to measure inter-pulse durations and total pulse numbers. The method further performs a calculation step to calculate an averaged inter-pulse duration and a heartbeat number. Afterward, the method performs a first-stage judgment step to judge whether the measured pulse number is sufficient. When the first-stage judgment step is matched, a second-stage judgment step is performed. The second-stage judgment step judges irregular heartbeat condition by comparing the averaged inter-pulse duration with each inter-pulse duration. Finally, this method performs a display step to show a sign of irregular heartbeat when the irregular heartbeat condition is matched. This method can solve inaccuracy problem due to preset threshold.

An inflation bulb (200), suitable for use with a sphygmomanometer, is internally hollow, and comprises a gas inlet end (210) and a gas outlet end (220). An inner side of the gas inlet end (210) forms inwardly protruding lips (212) that are approximately flat. The lips (212) define a gas inlet opening (213) through which exterior air gas is allowed to penetrate the inflation bulb (200). The gas outlet end (220) includes a gas outlet opening (222). The gas outlet opening (222) is further connected to a gas intake pipe (210). When the inflation bulb (200) is pressed, the lips (212) occlude the gas inlet opening (210), which compels an inner air gas to exit via the gas outlet opening (222). Once the pressing action is released, the inflation bulb (200) recovers its initial state and causes the lips (212) to open the gas inlet opening (213). By repeatedly pressing and releasing the inflation bulb (200), a cuff of the sphygmomanometer is inflated.
