摘要: An apparatus (1) and method for detecting pulse-related parameters, such as pulse arrhythmia is presented. The apparatus (1) detects a series of pulses from a user, e.g. through a cuff-related measurement. Time differences, amplitude and pattern differences between multitudes ofN pulses are determined. The apparatus investigates the degree of similarity of multiple pulse periods and / or pulse amplitudes and / or pulse pattern and subsequently generates a statistical set of similarity values based on a plurality of compared results. Basing on this, the apparatus generates a decision value based on the statistical sets of similarity values, and uses the decision value to determine whether or not the user discloses a normal pulse rhythm, atrial fibrillation, premature atrial or ventricular contractions, tachycardia, bradycardia and/or unspecified pulse arrhythmia. Further an artefact index is generated, informing the user whether a measurement was taken under sufficient artefact-free measurement conditions.

摘要: An electronic sphygmomanometer includes an activation controlling part (201) for performing a control to activate one of a plurality of functions (203 to 206) included in a first function group and a second function group of the electronic sphygmomanometer based on an instruction signal from a user. The first function group includes a measuring function (203, 204) by a blood pressure measuring unit, and the second function group includes an information changing function (205, 206) related to erasing of a measurement value or changing of a set value. The activation controlling part includes a determining portion (2011) for determining whether started with a specific operation, and a setting portion (2012) for setting enable/disable of activation of the second function group based on the determination result by the determining portion.

摘要: A physiological signal sensing device includes an elastic pad and a strain sensor element. The elastic pad is used for contact with a human body, and corresponds a blood vessel of the human body. The strain sensor element is disposed in the elastic pad and includes a conductive element. The conductive element deforms according to the vibration of the blood vessel, and the resistance value of the conductive element varies according to the strain of the conductive element.

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide an apparatus which automatically detects pulse waves from a patient, and allows a high-precision pulse diagnosis on the basis of those wave data.
This object is achieved by an apparatus whose operation includes: winding pulse sensor belts around both wrists of a patient; detecting pressure signals associated with pulses from left and right radial arteries through pulse sensors 2b-2d; converting those signals into pulse waves through a wave transformer 8; adjusting the height of pulse waves through a wave level adjuster 11; comparing the adjusted pulse waves with a plurality of symptomatic waves stored in a symptomatic wave storing memory 9 through a comparator, and choosing the symptomatic wave corresponding with or similar to the pulse wave; and extracting the disease condition data corresponding to the symptomatic wave from a disease condition data storing memory 10 through a disease condition data extractor 13. A heart beat counter 15 provides heart beat counts on the basis of pulse waves. The apparatus stores the chosen symptomatic wave, pulse wave, disease condition data and heart beat count into a patients' data storing memory 14, and provides, as output, the same data to a monitor 4 or a printer 5 for display or print-out.
