    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for fixing an intramedullary cavity nail for the treatment of unstable trochanteric fractures and to a targeting device for use in performing the steps of said method. According to the method, a recess (16) for a femur neck screw (8) for fixing the cavity nail (2) is provided in at least the lateral cortex of the femoral shaft (FS) in close distal proximity to a hole (9) for the femur neck screw such that bone fragment(s) located distally of the fracture and bone fragment(s) located proximally of the fracture relatively seen can be displaced towards each other. A targeting head (5) of the targeting device (1) is configured with a targeting bore (14) which is alignable with a point on the femoral shaft (FS) in close distal proximity to the hole (9) for the femur neck screw (8) for use in providing at said point, said recess (16) for the femur neck screw.

    摘要: A prosthesis for arthroplasty comprises members which can be used for arthrodesis. The prosthesis comprises two prosthesis members (2, 3). The prosthesis members (2, 3) comprises a first screw-like attachment member (4) and a second screw-like attachment member (5) respectively, and a socket member (6) and a head member (7) respectively. The socket member (6) has an attachment pin (16) which is insertable into a hole (8) in the first screw-like attachment member (4) and the head member (7) has an attachment pin (19) which is insertable into a hole (9) in the second screw-like attachment member (5). The hole (8) in the first screw-like attachment member (4) is partly configured to define a press fit with the attachment pin (16) of the socket member (6) and partly threaded to alternatively permit securing by screwing in said hole of a locking member for cooperation with a lockable member which is configured for adjustable setting thereof relative to the locking member and for fixation thereof, in set position, to the locking member, which lockable member is made in one piece with the second attachment member, or for cooperation with a lockable member which replaces the head member in the second screw-like member.

    摘要: A guide wire control device for advancing a guide wire into a body or a portion of the body, comprises a handle member (1), a lever (2) and a spring means (3). The spring means (3) holds the lever (2) relative to the handle member (1) such that the longitudinal axis of a through-hole (9) in the lever (2) is misaligned with the longitudinal axis of an elongate passage (4) in the handle member (1) for locking the guide wire control device to a guide wire (5) extending through said elongate passage and said through-hole. Pivotal movement of the lever (2) brings the longitudinal axis of the through-hole (9) into alignment or substantial alignment with the longitudinal axis of the elongate passage (4) for release of the guide wire (5). Pivotal movement of the lever (2) also brings the longitudinal axis of the through-hole (9) into renewed misalignment with the longitudinal axis of the elongate passage (4) for clamping of the guide wire (5).

    摘要: A prosthesis member of a joint prosthesis for a thumb joint comprises a screw-like part (4) and an articulating socket element (6) with a mounting pin (9) which is insertable into a hole (8) in the screw-like part for attaching the articulating socket element thereto. The first fixing portion (15) is provided with a surface (20) which connects the threads (17, 19) on said fixing portions (15, 18) to each other and which converges substantially arcuate towards the second fixing portion (18). Hereby, optimum fixation of the prosthesis member (2) in the trapezium (T) is achieved.
