On the sides of the working surface (100) there is the loading zone of the cells, the loading zone of the conductive ribbons and a pair of longitudinal rails which are intended to guide two mobile gantries (120, 130), which roto-translate above the working surface, from one loading zone to the other, being equipped for the purpose of assembly. In particular, said compact apparatus (10) is versatile in use and allows to obtain already in the experimental laboratory phases the levels of accuracy and control of an industrial system, for the purpose of optimizing the product and the assembly technologies reducing wastes and faults.

Said composite operating station is automated and integrates a plurality of working processes carried out simultaneously in a cyclic sequence; in particular, it is based on a multifunction cylindrical roller (100) which by rotating lays out the film of integrated encapsulating and dielectric material, (308), heats it and presses it on the conductive layer (302) of the supporting backsheet for the purpose of the fixing in a correct position, said roller being provided with openings (101) to enable drilling from outside with a laser device (120) and also to enable the forced suction from inside of the fumes and of the residues by means of an exhaust fan (130).

Apparatus and method for the automatic assembly of photovoltaic panels with back-contact architecture, the apparatus comprising a series of six stations that are configured in sequence in a carousel with recirculation of trays and a control device, which is adjacent to one or more of the stations, for controlling the correctness of the processes performed, the control device enabling the processing or the mere transit of the tray into the subsequent station by comparing the actual state with a predefined state. If one or more of the controls performed in the transfers between the six stations yields a negative outcome regarding the correctness of the operation performed previously, the control device enables the mere transit of the tray with its content to the subsequent stations until it reaches the first station without undergoing any tipping.

The cell has holes for the crossing of the collected electrons at the front and punctiform back contacts for the charges of opposite sign, N holes and P points respectively, arranged according to a configuration of the contacts which is also advantageous for the purpose of automated production and for the association with a conductive backsheet integrating one single conductive layer intended to connect by strings the N holes and P points of all the cells, completing the electrical circuitry of the whole panel. The cell has 24 N holes and 15 P points, respectively aligned in 4 N rows of 6 holes each and in 3 P rows of 5 points each, with particular centre-to-centre distances.

Automatic assembly method (10, 11 ) of a photovoltaic panel with cells of the back-contact type provided with a conductive backsheet (300) with a thermoplastic encapsulating layer; the loading of the cells (306) occurs in combination with their pre-fixing (11 ) in a combined station (20) sequentially placed before the superimposition of the upper encapsulating layer and after the laying of the conductive adhesive (310). Said loading is carried out with a first device (210) of the automatic mechanical hand type which takes a group of cells (306), aligns them with the back contacts (307) in correspondence of the holes (305) and lays them vertically from above; furthermore, a second device (220) of the presser-heater type carries out the pre-fixing of said cells holding them in the final position also with localised heating on at least one portion of each cell in such a way as to activate the adhesive function of the underlying thermoplastic encapsulating layer (304). The present invention also describes the combined loading and pre-fixing station (20).

Plant (10) and system for the automatic horizontal assembly of photovoltaic panels (30) with front-back-contact solar cells (300-1) of crystalline silicon, of the type called H-type, the contacting being carried out at a temperature lower than 150°C also with the prefixing of conductive elements onto the encapsulating layer; the present invention solves the main problems of the conventional stringing systems and provides high production capacity with a precise positioning of the components. The plant (10) is made up of single workstations (100A-I) of the modular type which are arranged sequentially in a linear series, individually equipped according to the specific working process, being adjacent and laterally open to be crossed by the conveying line (110) of the trays (109) containing the panels being worked; after the automatic assembly in said plant (10), the panels are ready to be rolled in conventional furnaces.
