摘要: This invention relates to a novel class of halofluorinated acrylates and more particularly to chlorofluorinated or bromofluorinated acrylates characterized by a chlorofluorinated or bromofluorinated alkylene moiety with acrylate functions at both terminals. These chlorofluorinated acrylates may be photocured in the presence of a photoinitiator into transparent polymers useful as optical waveguiding materials.

摘要: This invention relates to polymers having non-linear optical properties which polymers include fluorene moieties having at least one electron accepting group and at least one electron donating group substituted to different phenyl rings of the fluorene moiety (I), wherein: A is an electron withdrawing substituent; D is an electron donating substituent; R?1 and R2¿ are the same or different and are divalent conjugated organic or inorganic moiety; m, n and p are the same or different at each occurrence and are integers from 1 to 4 wherein the sum of p and n, as well as the sum of p and m, is equal to 4; k and o are the same or different at each occurrence and are integers from 1 to 5 wherein the sum of k and o is equal to 5; i and j are the same or different and are 0 or an integer from 1 to 5; R3 is the same or different at each occurrence and is any substituent which does not adversely affect the non-linear optical properties of the polymer unduly; x and y are the same or different and are 0 or an integer from 1 to about 10; T and Z chosen to have general structures of polyesters, polycarbonates, polyamides, polyethers, polyurethanes, polyimides, epoxyresins.
