摘要: In at least one embodiment, a medical device can comprise an elongate outer sheath that extends along a sheath longitudinal axis and defines a central lumen extending therethrough, the elongate outer sheath can comprise a proximal sheath portion and a distal sheath portion. A first guidewire can comprise a first guidewire end and a second guidewire end, the first guidewire can extend from the first and second guidewire ends through the central lumen and can form a distal looped portion. An occlusion device can be disposed at a distal end of an elongate flexible shaft. The elongate flexible shaft can extend from the proximal sheath portion through the central lumen. The occlusion device can include a guide lumen through which the first guide wire passes.

摘要: A surgical device for accessing a pericardial space of a patient, comprising: an elongated, tubular body including a proximal end and a distal end, the tubular body including a longitudinal first channel configured to accept an endoscope therein and a longitudinal second channel configured to accept a pericardial needle therethrough; and an at least partially transparent, repositionable tip disposed at the distal end of the tubular body, the tip including a substantially blunt, distally oriented dissection point and a proximal repositionable connector, the proximal repositionable connector repositionably engaging the tubular body near the distal end of the tubular body so that the tip is repositionable between a closed configuration and an open configuration; wherein, in the closed configuration, the tip substantially covers the distal end of the tubular body and extends distally beyond the distal end of the tubular body; and wherein, in the open configuration, the tip is positioned at least partially beside the distal end of the tubular body so that a distal face of the tubular body is exposed.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention encompass systems and methods for delivering ligatures to anatomical features of a patient. Exemplary ligature delivery systems for use in delivering a ligature to a left atrial appendage ligature include an elongate support mechanism having a proximal portion and a distal portion, a flexible hoop assembly, and a cinchable constriction member. The flexible hoop assembly can be coupled with the distal portion of the elongate support mechanism, and can include a support body coupled with a support frame. The support frame can be biased to hold the support body in a trailing configuration, whereby a free portion of the support body is disposed proximal to the distal portion of the elongate support mechanism. The support frame of the flexible hoop assembly can be coupled with the distal portion of the elongate support mechanism.
