Abstract:
Provided herein are zoned catalysts that utilize components efficiently in that relatively short zones are provided to achieve specific functionalities to convert and/or trap one or more components in the exhaust stream. Highly controlled zoned are formed from one end of a monolithic carrier. The zones have a flat profile such that the zoned catalytic material within each passage of the substrate is at a substantially uniform distance from one end of the carrier. Methods of making and using the same are also provided.
Abstract:
An oxidation catalyst composite, methods, and systems for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions from a diesel engine are described. More particularly, an oxidation catalyst composite including a first washcoat layer comprising a Pt component and a Pd component, and a second washcoat layer including a refractory metal oxide support containing manganese, a zeolite, and a platinum component is described.
Abstract:
Diesel oxidation catalysts comprising a first washcoat layer including a platinum group metal impregnated on a promoted non-zeolitic support are described. The promoter is one or more of tin, manganese, indium, group VIII metals. Methods of making and using the diesel oxidation catalyst, including emissions treatment systems, are also described.
Abstract:
Provided is a catalyst composition, in particular a diesel oxidation catalyst, for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions, such as the oxidation of unburned hydrocarbons (HC), and carbon monoxide (CO). More particularly, the present invention is directed to a catalyst structure comprising at least two, specifically three distinct layers, at least one of which contains an oxygen storage component (OSC) that is present in a layer separate from the majority of the platinum group metal (PGM) components, such as palladium and platinum.

An oxidation catalyst composite, methods, and systems for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions from a diesel engine are described. More particularly, an oxidation catalyst composite including a first washcoat comprising a zeolite, Pt, and first refractory metal oxide support containing manganese, a second washcoat comprising a second refractory metal oxide support, a Pt component and a Pd component, and a third washcoat comprising palladium and a rare earth oxide component is described.
Abstract:
Described is a catalytic article for the treatment of lean burn engine exhaust gas. The catalytic article comprises a honeycomb substrate having disposed thereon a washcoat containing one or more calcined platinum group metal components dispersed on a refractory metal oxide support located on the honeycomb substrate, the platinum group metal components having an average crystallite size in the range of about 10 to about 25 nm to provide a stable ratio of No 2 to NO x when the exhaust gas flows through the honeycomb substrate. Methods of treating exhaust gas from a lean burn engine and a system for the removal of pollutants from a lean burn engine exhaust gas stream containing NOx are also described.
