Abstract:
Disclosed are expandable styrene polymers (EPS) containing, in relation to the styrene polymer, a) 0.05 to 5 percent by weight of an organic bromine compound containing a minimum of 50 percent by weight of bromine as a flameproofing agent, b) 0.05 to 2 percent by weight of a flameproofing synergist, c) 1 to 5 percent by weight of a metallic salt as an acid collector. Also disclosed is a method for producing said expandable styrene polymers.
Abstract:
A coating formulation intended for expandable particulate styrene polymer and comprising (A) from 10 to 90% by weight of a tristearyl ester whose melting point is in the range from 60 to 65° C., (B) from 10 to 90% by weight of a triglyceride of a hydroxy-C16-C18 oleic acid whose melting point is in the range from 70 to 95° C., and also expandable particulate styrene polymer which has at least one coating composed of said coating-composition formulation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing foamed moulded bodies from pre-foamed foamed particles which comprise a polymer coating, in a mould, under pressure and in the absence of vapour. The invention also relates to produced foamed moulded bodies and to the use thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing moulded foam elements from pre-foamed foam particles in a mould under pressure, said moulded foam elements having a polymer coating that comprises an amphiphilic or hydrophobic organic compound. The invention also relates to moulded foam elements produced therefrom and their use.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing cellular material moulded articles from prefoamed cellular material polymer-coated particles in a pressurised mould, wherein said prefoamed cellular material particles comprise a filler, whose content ranges from 10 to 70 % by weight with respect thereto, and cellular material articles mould according the inventive method and the use thereof are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A process for producing coated foam beads, wherein an aqueous polymer dispersion is applied to the foam beads and then dried to form a water-insoluble polymer film, and foam moldings produced therefrom and the use thereof.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a coating composition containing at least one cross-linking agent and a hydrophobically acting amount of a compound containing silicon, to foam particles coated therewith, to molded foam bodies produced therefrom, and to the use thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to expanded particulate moulded parts with a density ranging between 10 and 100 g/l. Said parts are obtained by welding pre-expanded particulate consisting of expandable thermoplastic polymer granulates, the latter containing between 5 and 100 wt. % styrene copolymer A), between 0 and 95 wt. % polystyrene B) and between 0 and 95 wt. % thermoplastic polymer C) that differs from a) and b). The invention also relates to methods for producing the expandable thermoplastic polymer granulates.
