The invention concerns a method for depositing on a substrate (1) a product of interest (2), in a small elementary surface (3), called spot, which consists in: a) preparing or providing a liquid medium (4) comprising a carrier and the product of interest (2); (b) from the liquid medium, forming a drop (5), and setting said drop on the surface (1a) of the substrate, in contact with the liquid medium; (c) eliminating the carrier of the drop (5), for example by drying, so as to allow said spot to remain. The invention is characterised in that it consists, in combination, in: (1) preparing or providing a magnetic support (6), distributed in the carrier; (2) binding the product of interest (2) to the magnetic support (6), so that the liquid medium, wherefrom the drop (5) is formed, comprises transport particles (7); (3) at least while eliminating the carrier of the drop (5), generating a magnetic field (8) passing through the surface (1a) of the substrate (1), so that the resulting spot (3) comprises the transport particles, and hence the product of interest.
