摘要:
The invention relates to a purging device for an assembled unit for a vehicle, consisting of a wheel having a rim and a tyre. According to the invention, said purging device comprises a body connected to the inflation tube of the assembled unit, said body being designed to be subjected to the inflation pressure of the assembled unit, and a piston moving inside the body, said piston operating a valve, which is integral with the piston, between a closed position and a purging position for purging the body, said valve being normally closed, the valve and the piston each having a face designed to be exposed to the inflation air inside the body when in the closed position and the valve being opened by a control force applied to the piston. The invention also provides a method of deflating an assembled unit.

A tyre for a heavy civil engineering vehicle allowing the visual detection, in a dark environment, of the stressed areas of the side faces, each end face of the tyre tread (4) being extended radially inwards via an outer face of the sidewall (5), an end face of the tread (4) and the outer face of the sidewall (5) extending it radially inwards forming a side face of the tyre (6). This method comprises a first step of applying a retroreflective coating material (7) onto at least a portion of at least one side face of the tyre (6), allowing the visual detection, in a dark environment, of the portion of at least one side face of the tyre (6), a second step of using the tyre (1) in a mechanically stressful environment, a third step of identifying, in a dark environment, stressed areas (8) of the portion of at least one side face of the tyre (6) that was initially coated with the retroreflective coating material (7) and is lacking said retroreflective coating material (7) due to the mechanical stresses experienced by the tyre (1) during use.

The invention relates to a tyre comprising sidewalls connecting a crown portion with beads (1) which are intended to come into contact with a mounting rim (J), said sidewalls comprising a carcass reinforcement (2) which is anchored in each bead (1) to at least one bead core (7) and which has one end (A) in each bead. Viewed in meridian cross-section, the bead core (7) has an external profile comprising two profile parts, namely: a first radially-inner part with axial width L which extends between the axially innermost point (B2) and the axially outermost point (B1), and a second radially-outer part between points B1 and B2. Each bead comprises at least one additional coupling reinforcement (5) which is in contact with the carcass reinforcement (2). The tyre is characterised in that, in each bead viewed in meridian cross-section, (i) the carcass reinforcement (2) is partially wound around the bead core (7) and is such that the end (A) thereof is positioned axially between the end points (B1 and B2) of the radially inner profile part of the bead core (7) and (ii) the additional coupling reinforcement (5) adjoins the carcass reinforcement (2) such as to be wound at least partially around the bead core (7), i.e. such as to cover at least partially the radially outer profile part of said core.

The invention relates to a tyre that is intended to be mounted on a vehicle supporting a heavy load, such as a truck, a civil engineering vehicle and/or an aircraft, said tyre comprising a carcass reinforcement whereon is radially mounted a crown reinforcement and a tyre tread. According to the invention, the crown reinforcement (3) comprises at least two plies (31, 32) of metallic reinforcing elements which are mutually parallel in each ply and criss-crossed from one ply to the next, forming an angle of between 10 and 35° with the circumferential direction. Said crown reinforcement also comprises a ply (5) of reinforcing elements at least in each shoulder which are mutually parallel in the ply and which are oriented radially. Moreover, the axially inner edge (51) of said ply (5) is disposed such that it is radially adjacent to at least one edge of one of the plies (30, 31, 32, 33) of the crown reinforcement (3) while the axially outer edge (52) of said ply (5) is radially lower than the edge of the above-mentioned adjacent ply.
