The invention relates to a photocatalyst and a method of purifying gaseous effluents. The photocatalyst, which is based on a composite WO3 - SiC/TiO2 semiconductor, is subjected to irradiation having a wavelength that is at least in part less than 400 nm, said irradiation involving the photocatalytic oxidation of volatile organic compounds and resulting in the total mineralisation thereof into CO2 and H2O. The method for the photocatalytic purification of industrial, agricultural or domestic gaseous effluents can be carried out at ambient pressure and temperature with a high and stable conversion rate.

The present invention relates to a microfluidic device for analysis of a gaseous compound, in a dynamic manner and while flowing, said device comprising mixing means that make it possible to co-elute, in a capillary tube, a gaseous phase comprising said gaseous compound and a solution comprising a derivative agent; means for eliminating the gaseous phase; and means for determining the concentration of gaseous compound. The present invention also relates to a process for determining the concentration of a gaseous compound using the microfluidic device according to the present invention.
