    摘要: By using an ultraviolet-curable composition, which contains a specific ultraviolet-curable compound obtained by modifying a bisphenol epoxy compound with a polyester having a flexible structure, as a light transmission layer. Accordingly, the present invention achieves an optical disk having excellent characteristics such as excellent durability, excellent light resistance and excellently reduced warp, while suppressing deterioration of the light reflection film due to environment of high temperature and high humidity or light exposure. Consequently the ultraviolet-curable composition of the present invention is most suitable for optical disks having a thick light-transmitting layer on which recording/reproduction is performed by using a blue laser.

    摘要: As for an ultraviolet curable composition according to the present invention, a coating film having been cured with ultraviolet rays has a large number of crosslinking points due to a (meth)acrylate compound that does not intramolecularly have a cyclic moiety and has a functionality of three or more and, since the compound does not intramolecularly have a cyclic moiety, plastic deformation due to a cyclic moiety is less likely to occur. In addition, a monofunctional (meth)acrylate compound that forms a homopolymer having a glass transition temperature of 20°C or less has a low glass transition temperature and is flexible. Accordingly, curing contraction caused in ultraviolet curing can be suppressed and plastic deformation is less likely to occur in the resultant cured film in a temperature range of room temperature or more. Thus, in an optical disc employing, as a light transmitting layer, a cured product of an ultraviolet curable resin composition according to the present invention, warpage is less likely to occur; and recovery from deformation caused even by application of a load for a long period of time or as a result of an impact due to falling or the like is rapidly achieved. Accordingly, errors of reproduced signals are less likely to increase and recovery from the errors is achieved over time; and, as a result, signal reproduction can be appropriately achieved.

Thus, warpage is less likely to be caused in curing; plastic deformation is less likely to be caused even under a load for a long period of time; and appropriate signal reproduction characteristics can be achieved.

    摘要: With branched epoxy (meth)acrylate which comprises a phenyl skeleton serving as a stiff molecular skeleton, and which comprises in the molecular skeleton a number of branched structures capable of forming a coating structure at a high crosslinking density after ultraviolet curing, it becomes possible to design the coating hardness to be high even if the content of an acryloyl group is designed to be low to effect less crosslinking reaction induced by ultraviolet curing, and it becomes possible to relax distortions inside a cured film due to cure shrinkage which occurs at the time of ultraviolet curing. As a result, there can be realized an ultraviolet-curable composition for an optical disk which has a high elastic modulus and is less tilted at the time of curing even if the coating hardness is designed to be high.

The ultraviolet-curable composition for an optical disk contains an epoxy (meth)acrylate, a (metha)acrylate having two radical-polymerizable unsaturated bonds, and a free-radical photopolymerization initiator, in which the (meht)acrylate having two radiical-polymerizable unsaturated bonds contains a (meth)acrytlate of a neopentyl glycol hydroxypivalate compound, the content of the (meth)acrylate of the neopentyl glycol hydroxypivalate compound is 10 to 40% by mass, and the content of the free-radical photopolymerization initiator is 1 to 4% by mass.
