    摘要: A hydrosilation process is disclosed herein where a silicon hydride is contacted with an unsaturated reactant in the presence of a platinum catalyst and an accelerator selected from a group consisting of unsaturated secondary and tertiary alcohols or silated unsaturated secondary and tertiary alcohols. These accelerators are especially useful for the hydrosilation of unsaturated reactants where the unsaturation is in the internal portion of the reactant's structure, for example, as in cyclopentene and cyclohexene. The accelerators are believed to be effective in the presence or absence of oxygen.

    摘要: A process is described for reacting organic halides with disilanes to form monosilanes. The process uses disubstituted palladium compounds as catalysts. This process is especially useful for reacting alkenyl chlorides, such as allyl chloride, with disilanes to form monosilanes having alkenyl substitution. Our process is also useful for converting the high-boiling disilane fraction, resulting from the direct process for forming organosilanes, into more useful monosilanes.

    摘要: A process for the organooxylation of β-cyanoalkylchlorosilanes. The process comprises contacting in a film a β-cyanoalkylchlorosilane with an alcohol capable of forming an ester with the silicon of the β-cyanoalkylchlorosilane and thereby forming an equilibrium mixture comprising a (β-cyanoalkyl)organooxysilane and hydrogen chloride. The film is heated at a temperature sufficient to cause vaporization of the hydrogen chloride from the equilibrium mixture thereby increasing yield of (β-cyanoalkyl)organooxysilane in the equilibrium mixture. In a preferred process, the process is run in a falling-film type reactor or a wiped-film type reactor.
