    摘要: A reverse shoulder orthopaedic implant includes a metaglene component having a platform with a number of screw holes extending through it, and an elongated stem extending outwardly from a medial surface thereof, the elongated stem being configured to be implanted into the scapula of a patient and having a bore formed therein. A glenosphere component has a bore formed therein, with a retaining ring secured within the bore in the glenosphere component. A screw cap has a shaft positioned in the bore of the metaglene component, and a locking flange extending outwardly from the shaft so as to cover each of the number of screw holes of the metaglene component at least partially, the screw cap being retained in the glenosphere component by means of the retaining ring.

    摘要: A glenoid component intended for securing to a glenoid surface of a scapula so as to provide a bearing surface for a head portion of a humerus, has a body portion with a first surface adapted to contact the glenoid surface of a scapula and a second surface configured to receive the head portion of the humerus. It has an anchor peg for penetrating the glenoid surface of the scapula so as to secure the body portion to the glenoid surface of the scapula. The anchor peg includes a cylindrical shaft extending from the first surface of the body portion and a fin secured to and extending outwardly from the cylindrical shaft. The fin includes at least one cutout configured to allow the fin to deflect outwardly along a hole in which the glenoid component is secured, thereby preventing rotation of the glenoid component. There can be first and second opposing cutouts, in which each of the cutouts includes a first leg and a second leg forming generally triangular cutouts.
