In an embodiment of the invention, a steam mop having a main body with a boiler, a water container, a mechanical water pump between the boiler and container and at least one side arm connecting the boiler steam outlet to a fabric steam pocket frame. The water pump is actuated by movement of the mop when cleaning to send water to the boiler. The steam pad frame (121) is substantially rectangular with a plurality of baffles (188) in a square grid formation extending outwardly to distribute steam to distribute steam between the baffles. A replaceable fabric pad (124) fits snugly on the frame to distribute cleaning steam to the surface to be cleaned.

摘要： A steam nozzle attachment (17) for a steam cleaner (11) having a replaceable fabric steam pocket (22) that fits snugly over a flat frame (31) having an interior steam nozzle (19) is provided. The frame includes at least two arms (33, 34) extending outwardly from a base with inwardly projecting fingers (33a, 34a) to form a rectangular skeleton for receiving the fabric pocket (22). The arms are biased outwardly and may be pressed towards each other to allow for easy placement of the steam pocket on the frame. Another type of frame (131) is substantially rectangular in shape with a steam outlet (119) positioned between the front (143) and rear (146) wall of the frame is provided. A plurality of baffles (149) to distribute steam to both upper and lower fabric surfaces are disposed substantially perpendicular to the steam nozzle between the side walls (147, 148) of the frame. A replaceable fabric pocket (22) that fits snugly over the frame is provided to distribute cleaning steam to the surface to be cleaned. Steam escapes from the upper fabric surface leaving a dry cleaned surface.

摘要： A steam mop including a mop housing is provided. The mop housing includes a water tank with a water inlet and a water outlet, a water pump with a pump inlet and a pump outlet and a boiler. A mop handle is connected to the mop housing at one end and a steam frame is connected to the housing at the opposite end. The water tank has a water inlet opening to a surface of the housing with a removable inlet cap where the surface of the housing about the cap has a funnel shape. The water pump is coupled to the outlet of the water tank and inlet of the boiler so that movement of the steam mop activates the pump to pump water from the water container to the boiler for the generation of steam. In addition, a steam frame assembly provided with a fabric steam pocket is selectively removable from the housing. The frame has an opening in about the middle of rear wall for mounting a connector including a top end having a steam inlet for connecting to the housing and a bottom end for connecting to a steam passageway extending to the front of the steam frame and a plurality of baffles that cross the steam passageway at substantially right angles.

摘要： A steam appliance with a universal connector for connecting a steam frame to a fluid source in the appliance housing is provided. The universal connector includes an upper connection piece with a proximal end for connection to the housing and a distal end with a pair of pivot arms. A lower connection piece having a pair of pivot plates for connecting to the pivot arms provides for a pivotal connection with the of upper connection piece for side to side pivot. A fluid conduit passes through the upper and lower connection pieces for connecting the fluid source to the frame for distribution of steam within the frame. The frame includes a central steam passageway for distribution of steam between baffles within the frame. The lower connection piece may be a distributor with a pair of opposed elongated hollow arms for coupling to the frame with a fluid conduit passing through an upper nipple portion for distribution of steam into the frame through the hollow distributor arms. The end of the distributor arms maybe adapted to slip into a key slot in the mop frame and provide an axis to pivot the joint in an up and down direction. Fabric mop towel envelopes with an cut-out to permit rotation of the mop frame about the distributor are also disclosed.
