    摘要: The present invention relates to providing binding particles for the separation and/or isolation of biological materials.
    In particular, it relates to a suspension container (1), comprising a suspension of binding particles for the isolation of biological material, inner walls (2) forming an elongate groove (3) at the bottom of said container, and a cover (4) having openings (5) and/or being penetrable for a linear arrangement of multiple pipets or pipet tips, said openings being located above and parallel to said elongate groove.
    Further provided is a method for pipetting a suspension of binding particles for the isolation of biological material, said method comprising the automated steps of:
    a. agitating a container (1)
    b. introducing into said suspension said linear arrangement of multiple pipets or pipet tips
    c. aspirating at least a portion of said suspension and releasing the aspirated suspension or a portion thereof into multiple vessels.

    摘要: A thermal cycler for performing amplification of nucleic acids, comprising

    (a) a thermal block (71) having a plurality of chambers;
    (b) a movable cover (14) having heating means (15) positioned within it;
    (c) transport means for moving said cover (14) from said first position to said second position and viceversa, the path followed by the cover (14) comprising: a first path segment which lies above and at a predetermined distance from said thermal block (71) and along which said cover (14) is moved towards a stopper (16) until it abuts against it and a second path segment along which said cover (14) is moved away from said stopper (16) and downwards until it is vertically aligned with said thermal block (71) and exerts a predetermined pressure on reaction vessels (13) positioned in said chambers (72) of said thermal block.

    摘要: The apparatus comprises a square, metallic vessel holder (11) with twenty-four chambers (13) arranged to smoothly take up in an upright position changeable, transparent reaction vessels used to carry biological reaction liquids of about 100 µl. At the side walls of the chambers (13) are arranged two connectors (21, 22) with associated boreholes. Within these holes are removably fixed first (32) and second optic fibers (31). These fibers are connected in such a manner, that the axial extensions of the fibers (31, 32) meet one another approximately at a same point of the chamber's axle, and in such a manner, that light escaping from the first fibers (32) cannot reach the second fibers (31) directly. The open ends of the fibers are connected to a common light source and individually to associated light receivers, respectively.
