摘要:
A distortion compensating device comprises an amplifier for amplifying an input signal, a computing section for determining a distortion compensation coefficient of the amplifier corresponding to the amplitude level of the input signal from the input signal and the output signal from the amplifier, a memory for storing the determined distortion compensation coefficient at a write address associated with the amplitude level of the input signal, a distortion compensating section for reading the distortion compensation coefficient from the read address of the memory and compensating the distortion of the input signal by using the distortion compensation coefficient, and an address creating section for creating the write address and the read address according to the amplitude level of the input signal. The address creating section creates a first address according to the amplitude level of the input signal as the write address and a second address near to the first address as the read address.
摘要:
A predistortor for adequately compensating the distortion of a power amplifier even if there is a frequency amplitude difference. The predistortor comprises means (2) where stored is a distortion compensation coefficient corresponding to a table reference value which is the feature of the envelope of a transmission signal before the input into the power amplifier and means (3) for converting the feature to a predetermined value according to the magnitude of the feature. If the feature is, e.g., the amplitude value of the envelope and if the amplitude value is small, the amplitude value is increased to e.g., an upper limit of the linear range of the amplifier.
摘要:
A distortion compensation apparatus in which a distortion compensation coefficient is calculated so as to reduce a difference signal between a reference signal which is a transmission signal and a feedback signal, an old distortion compensation coefficient is updated by the distortion compensation coefficient calculated, and the transmission signal is subjected to a distortion compensation in accordance with the distortion compensation coefficient. The apparatus alternately generates a phase compensation period for correcting a phase difference between the reference signal and the feedback signal and a distortion compensation coefficient updating period. Correction is made so that the phase difference is zero in the phase correction period and the distortion compensation coefficient is updated in the distortion compensation coefficient updating period.

There is provided a method for accurately compensating a DC offset component contained in a signal to be modulated, i.e. a transmission signal generated in a quadrature modulation system. A DC offset correction value determined from the transmission signal is subjected to weighting in accordance with the signal level of an input signal to the quadrature modulation system as transmission data, and then the DC offset component contained in the transmission signal is compensated based on the weighted DC offset correction value.

A distortion compensator for compensating the nonlinearity of a power amplifier of a radio communication device. The operation such as automatic phase adjustment, automatic delay adjustment, equalizer adjustment, or update of a distortion compensation table is suspended if the input such as a reference signal, a feedback signal, an address of a distortion compensation table, or a phase value to the distortion compensating block is abnormal.

An adaptive controller comprising an error calculating unit for calculating the difference between a reference signal and a feedback signal and an adaptive control unit for carrying out adaptive control so as to decrease the difference and causing the reference signal to reflect the result of the adaptive control. The adaptive controller further comprises a delay unit for delaying at least one of the reference signal and the feedback signal by a predetermined time so as to simultaneously input them into the error calculating unit, a frequency component detecting unit for detecting a frequency component of the reference signal, a delay time acquiring unit for acquiring a delay time corresponding to the frequency component, and a delay time setting unit for setting the acquired delay time in the delay unit.
