Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, reaktionsgefügte keramische Bauteile anzugeben, die ein Material der Fügenaht aufweisen, welches im Wesentlichen gleiche oder annähernd ähnliche Eigenschaften, wie das Material der zu fügenden Bauelemente aufweisen. Gelöst wird die Aufgabe durch reaktionsgefügte keramische Bauteile, die aus mindestens zwei Bauelementen bestehen, die im Bereich ihrer zu fügenden Oberflächen jeweils stoffschlüssig mit einem dichten Material der Fügenaht verbunden sind, welches aus mindestens 30 Vol.-% Siliciumcarbid und mindestens 8 Vol.-% Silicium besteht, und mindestens eines der Bauelemente mindestens einen höchstens teilweise mit Silicium und/oder einer Siliciumlegierung gefüllten Hohlraum aufweist, der an das Material der Fügenaht grenzt oder das Silicium im Hohlraum ganz oder teilweise an das Material der Fügenaht grenzt.

The invention relates to the field of ceramics and to a ceramic network which can, for example, be applied as a deep-bed filter and a method for the production and utilization thereof. The aim of the invention is to provide a ceramic network in which the mechanical stability is improved and/or an application dependent structure can be specifically adjusted. To this end, a ceramic network is provided which is comprised of two or three dimensional ceramic webs that are connected to one another. The cavities in the ceramic webs have a cross-sectional area with a circular or approximately circular or extensively circular or a convex or multiple convex contour. In addition, a method is provided in which a fiber network is produced. The fiber network is comprised of polymer fibers and/or natural fibers and/or other fibers, whereby the fibers each have a cross-sectional area with a circular or approximately circular or extensively circular or a convex or multiple convex contour. The invention relates to the field of materials science and to a device for reducing pressure in cavities in media at higher temperatures, such as those devices which can be used for devices for hot-dip coating metal materials in the metal processing industry for example. The aim of the invention is to provide a device by means of which pressure can be reduced in the cavity of the hollow bodies in a reliable and controlled manner and simultaneously the penetration of the media can be delayed or completely prevented at the higher temperatures. This is achieved by a device for reducing pressure in hollow bodies in media at higher temperatures, wherein at least one opening to the cavity of the hollow body is provided in hollow body regions which are not used for the intended application, said opening being closed from the medium surrounding the hollow body by at least one component made of a gas-permeable metal or ceramic material.
