The machine comprises a heated ironing roller (2), supported, guided and rotated on a frame (1), a parallel pressing roller (3) in contact with the ironing roller (2) and endless bands (4) mounted on satellite rollers and embracing part of the ironing roller (2). Axial journals (3a) of the pressing roller (3) are supported against inclined planes (5) fixed to frame (1) and at an angle with respect to a plane tangential to the ironing roller (2) and the pressing roller (3) on the line of mutual contact.
