摘要: A power converter for an AC electric vehicle having power factor control means (14, 12, 17), the AC side of which is connected with an AC overhead line through a transformer (2) and the DC side of which is connected with a control apparatus (3) of a motor for driving the electric vehicle, for achieving delivery and receipt, between the control apparatus and the AC overhead line, of power accompanying service operation and regenerative operation of the motor (5) by controlling the power factor on the AC side, the power converter comprising DC voltage control means (10, 11) for controlling the voltage on the DC side of the converter to assume a predetermined value, service/regenerative operation detection means for detecting whether the motor is in service operation or in regenerative operation, and overhead line voltage detection means for detecting the voltage on the overhead line, in which the power factor control means includes means (15, 16) responsive to detection signals from the overhead line voltage detection means and the service/regenerative operation detection means for controlling the power factor on the AC side such that variations in the overhead line voltage accompanying the service operation and regenerative operation of the motor are suppressed.

摘要: In general, a control device for a railway vehicle controls an inverter device 4 based on a direct-current link voltage Vfc between the opposite terminals of a filter capacitor 3. In a circuit configuration according to the present invention, a direct-current voltage applied to the inverter device 4 during regeneration is the sum of a voltage Vb of power storage equipment 6 and an overhead wire voltage Vs as described later, so that only detecting the direct-current link voltage Vfc is not enough to separate the voltage Vb of the power storage equipment 6 and the overhead wire voltage Vs from each other, and it cannot be determined whether the current state is the state of light load regeneration or not.
