    transmitting the information data embedded with the repetitive additional information data therein, and comprising, at a receiver side, following steps:
    receiving the transmitted information data embedded with the repetitive additional information data therein;
    detecting the repetitive additional information data embedded from said transmitted information data received;
    determining said additional information data on a basis of a majority rule when receiving said information data; and
    correcting error with using the error correction codes received and determined when said additional information data contains error(s) therein.

    摘要： A quick retry operation is possible by outputting an error flag pertaining to a sector after error correction processing of digital data. When an output of an error detection flag unit for a correction block indicates the existence of an uncorrectable error, the sectors are checked to see if the sectors corresponding to retrieved data include any error or not based on output from a sector error flag register B. When the sectors are judged as error, signals are retrieved again from a storage medium, re-stored in a memory, and an error correction processing is repeated again. The data such as that of P pictures or B pictures of MPEG which can be reproduced even with errors are output even when the error detection flag unit indicates the existence of the uncorrectable error. It enables identification of the sectors with the errors and simplifies the following operations pertaining to the error at a data receiving side by outputting the error flag along with the data.

    摘要： In an apparatus for recording and reproducing a burst-like digital information signal (D), a method capable of predicting the time of occurrence of a header (3a) indicating the head of the first data (D) of a digital information signal (D) during its repro­duction from a recording medium (110). The digital signal includes a plurality of data blocks (D) each including a header (3) indicative of the head of the block, and each header includes the address (A) of the block. During recording of the digital signal on the recording medium, a plurality of headers (3) which are substantially the same as the headers of the data blocks and including addresses (5) having given relations with the addresses (A) of the data blocks are inserted in a clock regenerating signal recorded before the digital signal for regenerating the clocks for the signal. The headers are inserted at a period equal to the length of each data block so as to be synchronized with the headers of the data blocks.
