This application provides a data transmission method and an electronic device. The method may be applied to an electronic device configured with a plurality of input devices (for example, camera modules). One uplink interface and one downlink interface are deployed on each input device of the electronic device. The uplink interface is connected to a processor or an upper-level input device, and the downlink interface is connected to a lower-level input device or is not connected. A processing module in each input device may process image data collected by the current-level device and data sent by a lower-level input device connected to a downlink interface, and then transmit processed data to the processor or an upper-level input device through an uplink interface. In this way, the plurality of input devices are connected in a cascade manner, and only one of the plurality of input devices needs to be connected to the processor. Therefore, a quantity of interfaces and a quantity of signal pins between the processor and the plurality of input devices are reduced. In the embodiments of the present invention, the terminal may receive only one or multiple of files that is obtained by splitting a complete SVC file, so that a waste of buffer of a terminal is avoided, receiving time is shortened, and power is saved.

In the embodiments of the present invention, the SG corresponding to the current area of the mobile terminal is differentiated in the SG server, and the SG request sent by the mobile terminal to the SG server carries the information about the current area where the mobile terminal resides. Therefore, the mobile terminal may directly receive the SG delivered by the SG server and corresponding to the current area, thus saving network transmission bandwidth massively. Moreover, the mobile terminal does not need to filter the SG fragments. Thus the mobile terminal is simplified, and the service is easier to promote and apply.

A method for transporting/receiving notification messages via File Delivery over Unidirectional Transport (FLUTE) includes: At the transmitting end, a server carries a notification content in a transport object and carries notification related information and a transport object identifier (TOI) of the transport object carrying the notification content in a first file description table (FDT), and then sends the first FDT and the transport object carrying the notification content in a FLUTE session; the receiving end obtains the notification related information and the TOI of the transport object charring the notification content from the first FDT, and receives the transport object charring the notification content according to the obtained related information and the TOI. A server for transporting notification messages via FLUTE, a FLUTE server, a content server and a terminal are also disclosed. With the present invention, the notification transport procedure is simpler and the reliability of notification transport is better.
