Expanded beads of thermoplastic polyurethane, wherein a Shore A hardness of the thermoplastic polyurethane is 85 or more; an average cell diameter of the expanded beads is 50 to 300 µm; and a closed cell ratio when bisecting the expanded thermoplastic polyurethane bead is 60% or more; and an expanded thermoplastic polyurethane beads molded article obtained through in-mold molding of the same are disclosed.

Conventional moldings of foamed particles of propylene polymers have been estimated to be excellent in cushioning effect and impact resilience but not necessarily satisfactory in stiffnesses such as compressional stress. The formed particles of propylene homopolymers of the invention have a modulus in tension of 15,000-25,000 kg/cm2 and a crystal structure which exhibits both of proper and high-temperature peaks as the endothermic peak in the DSC curve obtained by differential scanning calorimetry, the high-temperature peak having a heat quantity of 30-60 J/g. Moldings produced from the above foamed particles have a density of 0.01-0.3 g/cm3 and a modulus in tension of 15,000-25,000 kg/cm2. The DSC curves thereof reveal that, as in the case of the foamed particles per se, the crystal structures exhibit both of the proper and high-temperature peaks and the high-temperature peak has a heat quantity of 30-60 J/g, as well.

The present invention is concerned with expanded beads of thermoplastic polyurethane in which a water-soluble anionic surfactant is attached at 50 mg/m 2 to 1,000 mg/m 2 onto the surfaces of expanded beads of thermoplastic polyurethane having a dispersant attached thereto; and a method for producing an expanded beads molded article, including filling the expanded beads of thermoplastic polyurethane in a mold for molding and heating with a water vapor to mutually fuse the expanded beads with each other. The present invention provides expanded beads from which an expanded TPU beads molded article having excellent tensile strength and a method for producing an expanded TPU beads molded article.

Provided are polyvinylidene fluoride resin expanded beads which can be molded by in-mold molding and thus stably provide, without impairing excellent characteristics inherent in polyvinylidene fluoride resin, molded articles having excellent mechanical properties. Polyvinylidene fluoride resin expanded beads, characterized in that when 1 to 3 mg of the expanded beads are subjected to heat-flux type differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) wherein the beads are heated from 25°C to 200°C at a temperature rise rate of 10 °C/min, the obtained DSC curve (of first heating ) has both an inherent endothermic peak which is inherent in polyvinylidene fluoride resin and one or more higher-temperature endothermic peaks which appear on the higher-temperature side of the inherent endothermic peak, the quantity of heat of melting of the higher-temperature endothermic peaks being at least 0.5 J/g.

The present intention provides expanded polylactic acid resin beads, in which each bead is composed of a core layer that is in an expanded state and contains a crystalline polylactic acid resin, and a coating layer that coats the core layer and contains a mixed resin of an amorphous polylactic acid resin and a crystalline polyolefin resin, wherein the content of the crystalline polyolefin resin in the coating layer is 3% by weight or more and less than 50% by weight. The expanded polylactic acid resin beads can stably produce a molded article of expanded polylactic acid resin beads excellent in fusibility of the expanded polylactic acid resin beads therein and also excellent in solvent resistance.
