摘要: A ball joint (1) includes a tubular boot (5), an upper end portion (5a) and a lower end portion (5b) of which are fitted onto an intermediate portion of a shaft (12) of a ball stud (4) and an open end (6a) of a housing (2), respectively. An annular lip portion (70) is formed at the upper end portion (5a) of the boot (5). The lip portion (70) has a first sliding contact face (32) that is in contact with an outer periphery of the shaft (12), a second sliding contact face (33) that is in contact with a lower face (52b) of the knuckle arm (51), and an annular rib (61) that is formed so as to project inward beyond the first sliding contact face (32) from an upper end portion of the first sliding contact face (32). The rib (61) is elastically deformed due to contact with the shaft (12) so as to extend along the first sliding contact face (32) and project upward beyond the second sliding contact face (33).

摘要: In the rolling bearing device with a sensor in this invention, a band-shaped film 111 having insulation property is affixed to an outer circumferential surface of an outer ring 101 so as to extend in the circumferential direction. On the film 111 is affixed a foil 112 composed of identical four portions and having electrical conductivity which are placed at generally equal intervals in the circumferential direction of the outer ring 101. A resistance between a first place and a second place of the foil 112 is measured by a resistance measurement section of a microcomputer. A preload calculation section of the microcomputer, upon reception of an output from the resistance measurement section, calculates a preload of the outer ring 101 based on the measured resistance.

When a crest (52) of the at least one projection (51) contacts a crest of one of projections (39) of the second spline (38), a play is caused between the rotary ring (11)and the outer ring (32) due to the at least one projection (51) that works as a fulcrum.
