Ce dispositif d'étanchéité (50) est destiné à être monté entre une caisse (12) d'un véhicule et un coffre fixé sur la caisse. La caisse et le coffre comprennent respectivement une première (38) et deuxième (40) ouvertures en regard l'une de l'autre. Le dispositif d'étanchéité entoure le passage et comprend un soufflet (52) qui présente une première extrémité (60) en contact avec la caisse (12) de sorte à entourer la première ouverture, et une deuxième extrémité (62) en contact avec le coffre (20) de sorte à entourer la deuxième ouverture (40). Le dispositif d'étanchéité comprend un ressort de compression (54), chaque extrémité (64, 66) du ressort agissant sur l'une des deux extrémités du soufflet de manière à ce que le ressort écarte les deux extrémités du soufflet l'une de l'autre.

Sealing means are disclosed for preventing the ingress of water and dirt between a brake caliper (12) and the carrier guide pin (16). At the end of the guide pin facing away from the brake carrier (14), a retaining clip holds a sealing bead (26) of a sealing boot (24) at least partially within an axial bore (22) of the guide pin. At the end of the guide pin which faces towards the carrier, a sealing boot (56) is provided seated on a ring (50) which in turn is attached to the caliper (12). The other end of the sealing boot is attached to the guide pin, in a space between the guide pin and the ring (50).

The invention proposes a brake-caliper guide for a disc brake, having a plain bearing (6) made up of a bore and a guide member (10) which can be moved longitudinally therein, and having a folding bellows (16) which, for protecting the plain bearing (6), encloses a sub-length of the guide member (10), said folding bellows, in order to be secured on the guide member (10), being provided with a bead (31) which is supported on a base (48) of an annular groove (30), with which the guide member (10) is provided, and having a ring (33) which encloses the guide member (10), extends in the axial direction beyond the outer side of the bead (31) and is provided with a fastening structure (35), which locks the ring (33) in the longitudinal direction facing away from the folding bellows (16). In order to provide a brake-caliper guide, a guide member and a folding bellows with which the positioning of the folding bellows and/or of the ring on the guide member can be improved further, and also on a sustained basis, a recess (50) is provided in the guide member (10) in an axially offset state in relation to the groove base (48). The fastening structure (35) butts against a wall (53) of the recess (50), said wall facing the annular groove (30).

The objective of the present invention is to provide a ball joint dust cover that, even if the diameter difference between a ball stud and a socket becomes smaller, maintains the shape of the dust cover in a bell shape, is able to solve the problem of the small-diameter opening section of the dust cover dropping off of the ball stud, and has favorable durability. As a result, in an elastic material ball joint dust cover, which is such that a spherical head section formed at one end of the ball stud is held in the socket, the shaft at the other end of the ball stud is clamped/affixed in a knuckle, a first-end, large-diameter opening section is affixed/held at the outer peripheral surface of the socket, and an other-end, small-diameter opening section at which a reinforcing ring is embedded is held at the shaft, the configuration is such that the reinforcing ring comprises a cylindrical section and a flange section extending towards the shaft from the knuckle-side end of the cylindrical section and is integrated with the small-diameter opening section in a manner so that the lateral surface at the knuckle side of the flange section and the inner peripheral surface of the flange section facing the peripheral surface of the shaft are exposed.
