摘要： A diabetes onset model mammal which is useful in clarifying the onset mechanism of diabetes induced by the inhibition of signal transduction from insulin and developing remedies for such diabetes; and a method of screening a remedy for such diabetes. A transgenic mouse is prepared by constructing a transgene, which carries an imprinting gene Meg1/Grb10 showing maternal expression or human GRB10 gene in the downstream of chicken β-actin promoter and in the upstream of rabbit β-globin polyA; microinjecting this transgene into the male pronucleus of a mouse fertilized ovum; incubating the thus obtained ovule; transplanting it into the Fallopian tube of a mouse under pseudopregnancy; feeding the thus transplanted animal; and selecting an individual having the above-described cDNA from among the litter of mice.
