摘要: There are provided compositions and methods for modulating stem cell division, in particular, division symmetry. It has been demonstrated that Wnt7a polypeptide fragments promoting symmetrical expansion of stem cells. The compositions and methods of the invention are useful, for example, in modulating stem cell division symmetry in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo, in replenishing and expanding the stem cell pool, and in promoting the formation, maintenance, repair and regeneration of tissue.

摘要: (Objective) An objective of the present invention is to provide therapeutic agents that, in association with stimulation of PDGFR±-positive cells such as bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, promote their mobilization into blood and accumulation in a damaged tissue, and induce tissue regeneration in a living body. (Means for solution) Multiple peptides were synthesized, and the migration-promoting activity of each peptide was evaluated. As a result, the present inventors successfully identified multiple peptides that have migration-promoting activity on a PDGFR±-positive bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell line (MSC-1). Further, the present inventors confirmed that the identified peptides also have migration-promoting activity on skin fibroblasts, which are PDGFR±-positive cells.

摘要: Described herein is a method for producing a chimeric non-human animal expressing a human ETV2 gene comprising: a) generating an ETV2 null non-human animal cell, wherein both copies of the non-human ETV2 gene carry a mutation that prevents production of functional ETV2 protein in said non-human animal; b) creating an ETV2 null non-human blastocyst by somatic cell nuclear transfer comprising fusing a nucleus from said ETV2 null non-human animal cell of a) into an enucleated non-human oocyte and activating said oocyte to divide so as to form an ETV2 null non-human blastocyst; c) introducing human stem cells into the ETV2 null non-human blastocyst of b); and d) implanting said blastocyst from c) into a pseudopregnant surrogate non-human animal to generate a chimeric non-human animal expressing human ETV2.
